Google's first attempt at an Echo rival. While Google voice recognition is good and the responses can be clever, the "skills" need to be ramped up (Although a recent update has improved this). As time goes on, it should learn more and gain many abilities. The kids love talking to it and requesting songs, and it does what it is meant to very well. In retrospect though, I wonder if we're taking a step into home automation or adding a node to Skynet.

The Google Home exceeded all my expectations. There are several smart speakers available, but one thing that sets the Google Home apart is its ability to understand context.

I really enjoyed having this in my house. It was fun to have music playing whenever I asked. Was simple to "Google" questions that came up in conversation. The only reason was for 4 stars was that at the time I had it, it did not play well with Wemo products. Of course, after I returned it and went the Amazon Alexa route, I get the email saying Wemo now works with Google. Had I held out for that, I would for sure have kept Google Home over Alexa!

I really love my Google home. I love being able to play music on it and not have to reach for a remote. If i have sauce on my hands from eating anything like Bar B Q, i can ask it any question and ask it to play music. When i want to know if a store is open or directions. . .it will let me know while sending me directions to my phone. I liked it so much, i bought it for my mom, dad and sis. They love it too.

Started using this a few months ago, and it has already improved my daily routine in numerous ways. It helps me control my various other smart devices, works great as a music player, helps me set timers and reminders, appraises me of the traffic and weather each morning, and so much more. Without a doubt, Google will be increasing the functionality of this little beauty over time, so its value will only increase! So happy I got one!

Overall totally happy with it. The app is simple to use, it connects well and the sound is nice.

I got the Google Home for my birthday. It was very easy to set up and fun to ask questions. It is also nice to ask for any type of music you want. You can change volume, turn it off and on as well as many other tasks simply by talking to it. My only issue is - my Google changed within a week from here is some music from xyz - to here is some music. Not sure if the programming was changed or something is starting go to wrong.

This product is amazing. I have two units. One upstairs and one downstairs. Sound quality is excellent. I play selected music for several hours a day. Plus news and weather. You can ask it anything. Just like a google search. Medical database is very current and up to date I'm expecting even more capability with future updates. Wish I could call it a custom name. Lots of capability is coming. And it's not a advertising tool!!!!

i was reluctant to get this for my husband's christmas gift (i'm an apple person) but it's been great! i can tell google home to change my thermostat, play a show on tv, play music...ask about the weather, news or traffic from anywhere in the house! the only thing i didn't like is that your questions or requests have to be pretty specific (like turn volume down 50%) or it won't know what to do, but that will just take acclimating!

Google Home provides a quality, entry level smart home experience at an affordable price. The deep integration with other Google products makes it an easy recommendation.

I gave it as a gift and they love it. Was between a echo and this and saw the s commercials stating the advantages so tried it. Similar to echo but a little more accurate.

Convenient for asking across the room; timer weather correct spelling calculations music distance etc Decent speaker highs not as crisp and bright as I would like but good volume.

My family and I love our Google Home. It's a wonderful and functional addition to our household electronics. My wife uses it more than anyone. Searching for phone numbers and local businesses, playing a variety of music from YouTube, getting questions answered, etc. is only the tip of the iceberg (so to speak) of what this little item can and will do for us. Plus the look of Google Home adds a nice touch to the decor of our household furnishings.

I have an Echo Dot and the sound quality of the Chrome is much better for the same price.

I own two of these and love them! I use them for things like controlling my lights (you need special bulbs for that), playing music, and asking every day questions like: "what's my commute?" or "what's the weather today?" I highly recommend either this product, or Amazon's Alexa, if you're interested in the concept of a smart home; especially, the idea of using your voice to control things—this is definitely the future!

Great product for the home. Between music, news, and home automation this is really nice to have.

Multiple options to make your life easier. Microphone sensitive and able to capture voice clearly. Good product and expect more features as Google adds them as in the Android OS.

Thought it would be more resourceful and more like Google on phone but really not much better than Alexa. Simple questions answered on Google android go unanswered on Google home.

Good sound and excellent functionality. Integrates with my wifi and other smart devices
