So far I’ve used my google home to turn on/off my Phillips Hue lights, play music, and sometimes just to ask random questions to see what she’ll say. I would like google home to be able to turn on scenes for the Philip hue lights but for now telling google home what color to turn on will do. It’d also be cool to start calling an Uber or ordering some pizza! I’m excited to see what improvements google will make in the future!

I've got it from Deal of the day, price was great and kids are enjoying to speak to Google. I've connected to smart lock and smart lighting, it works real well. This only think is could not change the device's name "Hey Google ". We have another Google device nearby, when the door opens, both Smart speakers will activate the same time.

Bought 3 for Christmas gifts. People were excited when they opened their gift as they were told how fantastic Google Home is. I like mine & know they will enjoy theirs.

I have the Amazon Echo dot's and although I like them a little bit better the Google Home is pretty doggone good. It takes a little bit of effort to get it synced with everything but once it does it works great. Very user friendly and as Google adds more features I am sure it will catch up with Amazon. I use it everyday and it has become like a cell phone or a remote control in as how did I survive without it. Buy it you won't be disappointed.

We bought this item for someone in the family that was visually impaired. When you need to have basic questions answered the Google Home can do this . There is a bit of a learning curve in regards to how to ask questions that can produce the answer you want. Once you get the hang of asking the questions, Google Home does an excellent job gathering the information. This works the same way getting information on the cell phone works only you don't have a keyboard. YOU MUST HAVE INTERNET to set up the device first and connect to the wifi. This is all done by your cell phone as the device doesn't have a keypad and your phone is basically attaching the wifi to the device. Please note that you will also have to use an email account. This is going to sync to your google account. If you are giving as a gift, you should use the persons email address or else your business will be broadcast to the one that owns the device and has your email address connected to it. This can be intrusive for someone whose information is used to give reminders to the owner of the Google Home device. In other words, Google Home is a personal assistant for you as when you add appointments to your calendar, Google Home will tell you in the morning, what you have to do for that day. Very impressive if this device is in your home. There can be only one email address associated to the device but this could be an generic one if the entire family is using it. You probably don't want the kids knowing your business plans and appointments lol. This is a great device! and a game changer for those with impairments.

Easy to set up. The speakers area amazing. Like it much better then the Amazon Alexa I had.

Received this as a father's day gift. Simple set up. Like being able to set timer and alarms quickly as well as ask questions. Some of the easter eggs are pretty funny. Works well with wink and hue. Also have a harmony remote that it works with most of the time although it looses connection with harmony from time to time. Overall pleased with it and look forward to doing more automation with it. Ability to stream music is nice also.

I am so pleased with the purchase of my Google home. If you're interested in starting a smart home with so many opportunities that can be done.with so many things this is definitely the way to start by buying the Google home I am extremely pleased with it and it works phenomenal and even excited about the updates for the future of this item. And I'm very happy with the purchase of it through Best buy everything went flawless.

I chose google home over the echo because I like google products more than amazon in general. What the home can do at this point is does well -- it easily answers questions I have and I can go to the app if I want to get more info, easily does conversions (so helpful when I'm in the kitchen trying to meal prep), and can hear me at a pretty good distance. The speaker is loud enough for my condo. I'm excited to see all the features they'll add

I got this after selling my Amazon echo which didn't seem to be easy to use. The home tends to try and answer questions that it thinks I asked when really it came from the tv.

honestly this thing is fantastic and itll keep getting better since google keeps improving and expanding its compatibility with different products combine that with IFTTT app and forget about you will not regret this purchase so long as you have a use for it dont just get this for no reason it has usefulness for days and helps in day to day routines it can control your entire home with the trigger of your voice if you invest the money

I bought the Google home speaker for my 21yr daughter... She is loving this item and is asking google everything.. Make sure you say ok google or it want do the command

Don't get me wrong, I bought this knowing it would improve over time. Since getting it, I now can access my google photos and netflix with voice commands. Be warned that if you have kids, they are going to drive you nuts asking google questions. It eventually wears off. In reality if you look at the price of a Bluetooth speaker, this is very reasonably priced. Mostly we use it to stream music, voice command netflix and ask simple questions.

This item was purchased as a requested gift. He has not received the item yet. However, it is want he wanted. It will be used with other Google products. (Google Chrome Cast)..

My parents live in an apartment building that doesn't allow them to have clear reception of their favorite radio station so they really appreciated being able to stream the broadcast through the Google Home speaker. Its not difficult to set up and after a little practice, theyve been able to use it and enjoy getting their favorite music and news instantly. I will probably end up buying another one for me!

Easy setup and yes, basically a fun toy for now. Has potential for more uses but not sure I'm a full convert to the Internet of things
