Google Home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the Google Home for my wife, and after a lot of reviews and comparisons to Alexa, I went with Google, because it is Goole and uses Google as a search engine instead of Bing. Not as many integrations as Alexa yet, but you have Google behind it and there will be. Great speaker as well, fills many rooms, great sound, great searches, love the Chromecast sync as well. This product is a must own!

Google Home hits a 3 run homer.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up. Read the directions on setting up the wifi sound devices on google home as you will need to set it up on your smartphone first and then connect each one with the google chromecast- easy but just do it in the right order. Great system, can't wait to get the other smart devices to run the household. System does shut down what I am playing after a couple of hours, probably my system setup and not a fault of Google Home.

Google Home for my wife
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Google Home primarily for my wife, since we have Philips Hue light bulbs, but could only control them through my phone. So, my wife can turn on/off the lights, I purchased the Google Home. I went this way over the Amazon Echo was just from getting input from my friends. Their concern was Amazon's product is that theirs constantly tries to get you to buy things. So far, I'm content with the Google Home.

Outstanding Potential, Better Every Day
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My kids and I love our Google Home Assistant. Just now we are starting to experiment with home automation. Google just released being able to make phone calls from the Google Home. My kids each have one in their rooms and they use it every day. It is pretty amazing. We chose this over the Amazon option because of the vastness of the Google empire. We fell long term it will provide more features and benefits.

Has plenty of room to improve
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box the Google Home works with very few services so IFTTT is a huge must. Setup is pretty fast but you can really spend some time setting up other services like Logitech's Harmony Hub along with IFTTT. I chose this product over Amazon's Echo because I've already invested in the Google Chromecast and Music services so it's much easier to connect. I'm looking forward to Google releasing more services that are compatible with it.

Great Potential
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cool home automation product with few features at start compared to Amazon's Echo but with greater potential to be the best home automation product ever with help of the google assistance artificial intelligence. It's gotten more features now since it launched and works great. I own both the echo and this and easily the google home became the go to device for any home automation needs we got, barely use my echo now.

Love It!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the Amazon (Alexa) device & now the Google (OK Google) device. Each excels in different areas, but with are fun to use. If music playback is your primary desire, the Amazon device is built for louder sounds quality. However, if general information is your primary desire, the Go Google device is a bit better. Also, the mic on the Google device seems to have better range than that of the Amazon device. I love both!

A toy for tech-love adults for now
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, it is a fun toy 'for now,' but it will become a serious gedget soon. Google home, Amazon echo, they are a kind of new gedget in these days. So there are lots of room for growing. However, only things I do with it is ask Google home to play music, to turn on or off lights, and to set a timer for cook. If you know how to deal with IFTTT, this is going to do big fat functions for your life. I loved to use google keep function for grocery shopping list. However, google took off and put other function with google express, which is useless in this area, Tucson, AZ. Second thing I want you to know is if you have Chromecast, there will be more things to do with Google Home. Movie/TV show lover/ Music Lovers with multiple speaker need Chromecast if you want to maximise the function of google home. Third thing I want to mention is what I a little bit sorry about the Google Home, Having said that, it's a toy for now, and it looks ugly one to me. Of course if you want to change the base part you can do that but I simply don't want to spend money more than what I need to pay. In technical aspect, the speaker is fair enough but sometimes the mic is not strong enough. Sometimes I call "OK google" within 4 feet, it doesn't recognize my voice. Funny thing is if you even speak in broken English, Google home knows what to do :) Overall, it's a good toy for tech-lover for now. In the future, I strongly believe Google Home kind of gadget will be everywhere. So, if you want to taste AI in your home and prepare to be 'use to' it, Google home is good one. p.s. my child loves to play with Google home.

Makes things very convenient
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Google home works really well. I bought it to go with my Phillips hue smart bulbs so I can control the lights with my voice and it works as expected. It's so convenient to be able to control my smart home products with my voice. The speaker sounds decent and it's nice to ask the speaker for information when I have a question...although it doesn't always have the answer but it is constantly learning new things.

Still gimmick.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Google Assistant keeps improving but frankly it is still a gimmick. You will quickly find yourself trained to use the product not the product learned from you. Sound quality is okay for casual music listening and the microphone picks up your voice at a quite distance (say 20ft, line of sight is partially obstructed by wall). Selection in Google play music and YouTube are not very good for international users yet. But still, it is fun and sometimes very convenient to do hands free operations. That's a gimmick.

Great device for communicating
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this Google Home as an incentive when I bought my appliance bundle, and I love it! It plays music, sets alarms, entertains my daughter with games and fun facts, tells me the weather. I bought 3 Google Minis to use with this unit so I have one in every room of my house. This way I can communicate with my family and I don't have yell or run up and down stairs! Very convenient!

Amazing Device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would have never owned one of these had it not been included as a bonus for a recent purchase. Now that I have used it, I can't believe I never tried it out before! The device is amazing and has amazing sound quality. It can also get extremely loud and be quiet as well. It does have a few "bugs" every so often, but they are usually fixed fast, and the product is constantly being improved to be even better!
