bring me 1920's home into the 21 century chose google over Alexa Google got in the game late but I a betting the will be at the top soon great company

even though i was skeptical in the start what a voice assistant can do but Google Assistant has turned that view around. great help in creating a smart home.

I bought this as a gift and bought myself the main competitor for this device. The gift recipient is in love with Google Home. Once it was connected to a cell phone and wifi it came to life and does so much without having to program or download anything. On the other hand I wish I would of bought a Google Home for me instead it's main competitor that goes for more money and needs a lot of help to work.

I love the google home system. I was not let down, as it definitely lives up to Google's standards. It's a great way to bring the Google Assistant to the home.

Easy to setup with most devices. Great for music, news and weather in any room.

Every morning, Google will give a news summary, weather and play music. My husband says she makes me jealous! I'm sure there is more it does, just haven't sat down long enough to play with it. Very cool concept. It's sound great for a small speaker. When asked a question there is minimal delay to the answer. Wondering what to get that guy in your life? This is it. She also tell you goodnight when you tell her good night.

After reading reviews, decided on the Google Home. Reviews claimed the sound quality was much better than the Amazon Echo, which we found to be true. We love to ask Google to play our favorite songs. The downside is that sometimes Google Home doesn’t know all the answers, but it really depends on how you ask the question. Google Home can tell some pretty lame jokes.

I'm amazed at how well Google Voice can understand my commands when I speak at a normal speaking volume from across the room. Of course it's not flawless, but the number of commands that don't work is far fewer than the ones that do and new features are constantly arriving. I would especially recommend purchasing Hue lighting and a Chromecast for your TV with this. I can amaze all of my guests with this.

Google really killed it with this device. I mean they literally took the phrase "Google It" to a whole nother level with this product. I absolutely love it.

This device is great for providing a quick answers to your questions. In regards to its ability to play music, the speaker is only adequate. If you position the speaker towards the center of the room the sound is fine but either side or behind the speaker the sound is not as good. I would hope that the next generation of the Google speaker will have 365° of speaker for maximum sound excellence.

Would not suggest any smart speaker over it. Period. It has the backside AI configuration, I mean it is Google. You don't have to install functions on this one like the Amazon. It's ready to go the moment out the box. Does not sound robotic or like it's reading off a script. You can ask about recipes, math, medical, and even chemistry. The hardest thing about to google home is remembering to be use it.

Very cool technology. It's like having someone in your house doing things for you. Just ask google. She'll try to find whatever information or song you want.

I love using Google home, the only reason this is not a 5 star is because this system still needs more time to learn and catch up to the other one that is out there.

Easy to use, it’s a no brainer. Very nice looking and loud as well.

What can one say? If one is looking for a smart speaker with the most access to accurate answers to your questions, I would highly recommend the Google Home!

Bought this 2.5 years ago as of this review. I bought an Echo Dot about a year later....the Alexa enabled dot bit the dust already, and this is still going strong. I have it synched to apps on my phone, so I play music on it, use it for shopping lists, news, calendar, etc. Integrates with my phone and daily stuff very nicely. Would buy again.

I bought this item for my 86 year old tech savvy mom for Christmas, she love it and so did the 22 family members there on Christmas Eve when she opened it. It was a super easy and very quick to setup. Everyone started asking questions and the laughter was endless. I bought one the next day for my home and my mom's 75 year old neighbor bought one too. As of today 4 family members have purchased one too.

Google Home works well for our purposes, but isn’t without flaws. Doesn’t always understand our commands. Solid personal assistant, but hoping for some improvements.

Simple to install and simple to use, great build in speaker and intelligent OS

I was looking for a new toy, and asked around about Google Home and the Amazon products. Overall the recommendations went toward Google Home. I purchased it and am very happy with it. It took a couple minutes to set it up on my phone and I was able to utilize it right away. No need to be a techie to handle Google Home. I use it every day, most often for music. The speaker quality is great.
