I have had both the Google Home and the Amazon Echo and I believe the Google is better. Not only does the wife think the Google Home is more attractive in the house, it is better at holding conversations and being more natural. The benefit of the Amazon Echo is having more apps at the moment and especially with the announcement of controlling Plex through Echo is pretty awesome. Being able to order directly from Amazon is nice too. Google Home with its open API is still great and has just about all the integrations with apps that I need minus Plex which should come eventually. Integrating with all my google services is key for me. I think if you have a google device the google home is a no brainer, I use it alot more than I though I would. Especially using the Harmony Hub and Hue lights.

I like my Google Home. It keeps me entertained and informed.

I have both Alexa and this and I must say the only reason why I'm going with the home is because of its search engine. Bing has nothing over google period. I docked this review one star because you cannot connect Bluetooth speakers to it.

This device is a good competitor to Amazon's Alexa. It has the potential to be bigger than what Alexa is today. The Android platform and Google assistant together helps in keeping you entertained and productive at the same time.

Excited to have this item in my home. It's super easy to use

When my son gave this as a gift for Christmas, i told him to return it. I'm glad he didn't return it. We are using this everyday and enjoying it more everyday. It's has amazing sound and you can almost ask it anything :)

So the good: Really cool music player but if you want something to really crank up I dont know of a way to get it to play through speakers. So like the speaker on the unit or don't. Pretty good about answering questions. This is where it outperforms Alexa by a mile. I really like this thing for alarms. Its one of those things you would think is piddly but its pretty convenient. Alexa can do this too but I like google home a lot more for this. Synced up with maps so you can ask it about your drive somewhere or to work. Bad: The most ridiculous problem with google home... It cant do anything with your google accounts. Easiest point being it cant add anything to your calendar. Notification of new gmail? Nope. I expected them to add this support down the line but still haven't even heard of them planning to add.

Works well as advertised, sound quality is good and it can respond to commands from a good distance away. Still lacks a lot of basic search commands and play music playlists are so so. Overall good product to play around with home automation.

I read thousands of reviews of google home and the amazon echo. At the beginning i have my doubts for picking up the google home. But now I loved it. It is helping me for all.

When purchasing the Google Smart Speaker. I wanted a device to make finding information quicker than asking our smart phones. My hubby love it. It’s used And appreciated to the fullest. Thanks Google!

I have always been a big google fan and never really wanted to speak to something to turn my lights on etc. But having this and being able to not walk to switches and control my home has been great
