    An awesome device!

After having this for about 3 weeks, I actually went and bought another one for upstairs. I have one in the kitchen and one in the bedroom. The 2 main things that I use this for is for turning on/off lights (I have 20 Philips Hue, and a couple of Samsung Smart Things outlets setup), and setting a quick timer. It takes a little bit to get your devices and rooms setup, but it's not arduous by any means. Once your devices are setup, using Google Home is so much easier/quicker than grabbing my iPad, unlocking it, and navigating to the widget or app. I was also quite impressed with the sound quality, considering the size of the device. I have no problem with the quality of music while I'm preparing a meal, or just sitting around. I would strongly advise to check compatibility of your devices, but I am completely satisfied with the device itself!

Works well. Hoping for more development

First off, my kids love it. They can ask for music from the recent Trolls movie all by themselves and ask for endless knock-knock jokes. It is useful, but I have a little Alexa envy with how much has already been developed for the Echo. I'm hoping the Home will catch up and be able to do much of my smart home stuff. You can ask for most any podcast and it will find the most recent. I currently have the music defaulted to the YouTube Red subscription that comes with the purchase of this. I am planning on changing it over to my music that I have in Google Music. Hoping for URC integration so I can turn on my living room TV and use Roku, but that may never happen. I have played around with the Chromecast I've had for quite a while. I wish the home could turn on the TV as well as start up videos from Netflix... again hoping it is coming. Supposedly is available with some models.

I am very satisfied with this purchase. Although the Google Home is small but it sounds pretty good when you play music. Plenty of bass. I even need to use the equalizer to tone it down a bit. Just wish Google Assistant can also answer calls when my cell phone rings (by telling it to answer the call). It now only supports the "calling" a contact on your phone.

I really have been enjoying my Google Home. It was a Christmas present and linked up very easily to my Pixel...which it should given same company :) Just say "Ok Google" followed by your question or request. It will play music at request from your library or if you have a subscription to Google Play (assume the others too). It is still adding features and seems to be getting "smarter". Having a Pixel and Home, they will at times attempt to respond. Pixel will defer to Home, which is usually what I wanted anyways. You can turn off the mic on Home, just say "Ok Google - Turn off mic" if you wish. You will need to DL the Home app from Google Store, which will also allow you to control it via your phone (assume laptop too though I have not tried or need too). Worth the price and even consider getting one for the office.

The speaker gets quite loud for its diminutive size, the microphone array allows you to be heard even when it’s cranked to mid volume, but it’s no Alexa, alexa can be summoned even on full blast but on google’s first attempt they succeeded. I really like the aesthetics of the the speaker and build quality seems to be top notch. Overall a good smart speaker

I love this product. The speaker has remarkably good sound for its size. It reacts very well to voice commands and has a wealth of information. I like that it's compact and easy to set up and use.

This whole cencept really intrigued us, and we figured at this price, it would be worth giving it a try. To be able to just stop and say 'hey, google', to get an answer to a question that pops up is pretty cool, but she can be very frustrating if you get much out of the simple to ask questions. we get a lot of 'sorry, i can't help with that now'. but what she can do has been worth the price. playing music, on the other hand, it has been outstanding. you can ask for a specific song, artist, etc., and you aren't vague, there has never been a time she can't play it. haven't looked in to the fact if this aspect is just a free trial period, or permanent. but free so far, and great while it lasts. decent sound from a small, inexpensive device. we do keep the fact that it is always listening (big brother) in the back of minds though. a little unsettling.

I love my Google Home. Set up was quick and easy. I like the ability to turn off lights that are plugged into a Smart power strip with a simple voice request. I am also very impressed with the sound from the speaker for Pandora.

Let's be honest. the fact that google's assistant is as good as it is makes me want to switch from Apple to android and get a Pixel 2, but I love my iPhone so much I won't. To compensate for that this google home is the best thing I can have. I have it all synced to add items to my iPhone calendar, reminders, etc. but with the convenience of Google!

I love my new Google home. This is one of the best purchases I have made. Set up very easy. It works great as a speaker playing mostly xmas music lately. I can also make phone calls from it. I love being able to ask about my day beginning with my commute time to work. I use it everyday! Most everyone on my Christmas list is getting a Google mini.

This speaker is very high quality, and the 'ok google' commands are pretty straight forward. Think how you query google on the computer and use same wording. Music works better (more song choices) if you purchase google music, but I got it to pair with my iphone. It doesn't pair with my honeywell thermostat, but i bet it will soon. It pairs with Nest which is a competitor. The ability to ask questions without picking up your phone or laptop is a nice feature. Also can fast forward/change to the song stating 'next' is nice, or ask 'who is singing this song?' All very cool. For those of you who hate google or feel paranoid about a listening feature = just 'mute' the microphone when you aren't planning to use it. i am so happy I may buy a 2nd one for my bathroom as I can hear the music over my hair dryer.

So far I really am enjoying this unit. I have been switching back and forth with my Alexa Show when playing music and they are very comparable. I haven't connected the Google Home to any home automation so I can't comment on that use. The reception on the mic is excellent and has much better recognition than the Alexa to this point of testing.

Keep in mind that I got this on sale from Black friday, and at that price this is a great product. Getting Google into my daily routine even more has been a great improvement. The mic on this thing is sometimes not as sensitive as it should be, but i still dont ever find myself yelling at it. Speaker itself is good and fills my rooms easily.

Now we have music in our home all the time. Easy set up. All you have to do is call out what you want to listen to and you enjoy. Ask for jokes, which are funny or question about everything and Google answers. Never feel like your alone when it’s very quite or full of family. Nice background music. Makes your home friendly and homey. Luv it.
