Pro: Fairly easy to set up and connect devices to Easy to use, with good voice recognition Can connect to and use full range of features of more devices than competitors Con: Does not have Bluetooth for connecting to other speakers Only free music service supported is Pandora (even Googles own..only the pay version) Does not allow you to access music stored on phone Although I checked 'would recommend', I would qualify it to a friend with "if all you want to do is control lights and listen to Pandora in a small room". Personally, I use an Amazon Dot ($50 less) bluetoothed to an Ion Block rocker when I'm hanging out by the pool with friends.

Maybe even more functionality than expected. Use it regularly. Thinking about getting second because don't want to get rid of relaxation sounds in the bedroom. Super easy set up. Use with Phillips Hue lights and it's great!

Great fun at Christmas with all the grandkids and adults as well. Amazing response time and ease of use. Very easy to set up. Speakers provide a solid sound. Exceeded my expectations. Will be installing a second unit for upstairs..

I had gotten away from listening to music on the radio due to all the horrible DJ's and ads. Then I saw the Google Home at a party, where everyone was having a lot of fun using it. My brother and I each bought one, and setup was a snap. The most difficult part is finding a streaming music service you like. Some are free, some are pay-by-the-month. I found one that plays exactly what I want, and with no bombardment of ads. I use the Google Home a lot more than I thought I would, because it is so easy to use. The sound quality is surprising, too. I thought I needed two speakers separated by distance to get a good sound, but it sounds just fine. I'm now learning to get it to act as my assistant ... telling me the weather, etc. I highly recommend this unit.

Hey Google, take me to the moon. That seams to be the only thing this device is not capable of at this moment. I have had this product for a long time and I have enjoyed everyday with it. It pretty much has answers to everything, able to control your smart devices with just voice command, understands my accent even though, I am African and English is not my first language. This makes me feel very important, just like having my own personal assistant. Also, with the latest mobile google assistant app recently released by google, the sky is the limit for this device. The future is here guys and if you have smart devices at home like I do, this device is a no-brainer. Highly recommend this device.

I went into this purchase somewhat blind, I saw Google unveil this product at their I/O a few months ago & thought I'd check it out once it came out. I brought it home, the set up process was extremely easy and quick. Within a few minutes I was asking away. The honeymoon phase you have with a new gadget seemed to swindle away really fast when Google Assistant kept saying she wasn't "able to do that, yet." Simple things like "Send a message" or "remind me to..." Google Home is not able to do, at least not yet. I'm going to hang on to this gadget because I know that it will get better over time. I gave it a 4 star rating because it's great at playing music, waking you up, playing games, turning on my TV via Chromecast, & turning my lights on/off via Phillips hue, but it does still need some development.

The Google Home is a game changer on the smart home front. It will change the way you listen to music, hear news, and even watch TV. With intuitive voice dictation you can command Home to cast Netflix or YouTube content to your Chromecast (which works most often seamlessly). The hands-free element Home enables is absolutely wonderful. The tie-ins to other smart home features including Phillips Hue, Belkin WeMo, and Samsung Smartthings enables myriad opportunity to automate your home. Occasionally, it stumbles where a feature has not been implemented (responding, "I cannot do that yet."), but these lacking features will likely be added sometime in the future as the Home receives more support from third parties and Google alike. Overall, the Google Home is excellent.

It seems like a novelty item, and while that might be mostly true the Google Home Assistant is actually pretty useful. A simple 'Hey Google, goodmorning' and the device fires right up, telling me about my day ahead, the weather reports, and it skims through the news as well. Also, this small device kicks out a lot of sound, great for playing music with your connected Google Music account or other streaming services like Pandora. I bought it on a whim, but I use it every day. From games, music, news, asking it to stream Netflix to your Chromecast, or just asking it questions the Google Home Assistant is much more than an air-freshener lookalike. There's a few features I hope are coming down the pipe (like having it add reminders to your calendar), but overall a pretty sweet device

Easy to use, easy set up and lots of great features.

The product is a good product for integrating with mobile device for beginners. It works well with voice commands and searches the internet and provide the requested output. It plays the required music, provide the whether status, and alert the appointments. It dial to the required phone and allows to talk from the device.

We love the Google Home! It pairs beautifully with Chromecast to play music, movies, videos and more. Really like voice recognition so more than one household member can access their individual information such as calendar events, playlists, contacts, etc. The integration with Google Voice to make phone calls is nice too.

Got the Google Home as a Christmas gift for my Fiance and he loves it. Setup was very quick and it was the main attraction for Christmas Dinner. You can play songs, ask random questions to fuel your conversations and if you have the Google Chrome for your TV, you can request the Google Home to cast a video on YouTube or etc.

Google home is a great little device that brings the smart Google assistant right into your home. It works great with a Google Play Music account, and if you have a Chromecast hooked up to your TV, Google home will play any available song or YouTube video right on your screen. All you have to do is ask. It will try to answer any question you throw at it, as long as you aren't wanting driving directions, sending an email, adding reminders to your calendar, or really anything else that would make Google Home a true assistant. However, this thing is smart when it comes to giving information and recognizing conversational speech. You can even play trivia with it. Overall, my family and I have really enjoyed this device, and with regular updates it will only become better and more useful.

We are not technically savvy folks so we were hesitant to buy this. Some research on "you tube" and store reviews gave us the confidence to go ahead. Our best use is to have Google make a shopping list when we find we need something, Google don't forget when we get to the store. Works as advertised. Will add accessories as we need...
