I has bought one of these before and returned it because we didn't use it. Got it again and I'm enjoying it! From home automation like my ecobee4 thermostat l, ok google turn on/off the heat. To telling my kid bed time stories. We use it to stream music from phones or google play. It's become a welcome part of the house!

Although it does not have the sound quality to satisfy the demanding audiophile, this speaker does great enough of a job filling my living room with music. The far-field microphones are able to hear my voice commands without having to raise my voice from a decent distance. The visual design of the hardware is pleasant and is meant to blend in as opposed to calling attention to itself. Setup was a breeze and integrates well with my Hue and Chromecasts. Your mileage with the Google Assistant will vary depending on how many Google products you are already using. If you use gmail, chrome, and google calendar...its ability to deliver me targeted information and interact with these apps is a great plus.

The Google Home is an incredible device. Not only does it serve as a personal assistant but the voice control you are able to use for house hold activities like turning on and off lights or casting something to a TV via your voice is second to none. It's not long before every household will be standard with this tech.

Easy to set up, fun to control my smart home with!

The sound and design on this unit are perfect for our kitchen. I love the minimalist touch controls (unlike others in the market) and use this for music, setting timers, making my shopping lists, news, traffic and more. The only thing that could make this better is a wireless charging pad for a cleaner finished look.

This is one of those things that you don't necessarily need but once you have it, you won't wanna be without it. I'm just getting into home automation and being able to control devices and seeing by voice is really convenient. The sound quality is ok... Definitely adequate for listening to while cooking or other chores

The moment I get into the house I immediately tell Google play music, add things to the grocery list, set alarms when I’m cooking dinner, etc. I really like how she can pick up my voice from other rooms. Having a Google Home now is definitely a game changer and super convenient. Plus it has dad jokes down to the T.

Google Home is a great smart speaker to use every day. It brings the power of the internet and Google into my home and makes them accessible via voice, which results in a number of conveniences. Some of my favorites include: asking it to play a certain music playlist, telling it to add something to my Google Keep shopping list, asking a question I would normally have to type into Google on my phone or computer, setting a timer or alarm, or asking about the day ahead (calendar events, weather, etc.). The list of things you can do with Google Home goes on and on. I have been continuously discovering new ways to use it, and Google Home has noticeably simplified some of my daily tasks.

I already had one Google Home Smart Speaker from the Christmas of 2018, and since this was on sale for 70% off today, I felt is was worth it to buy another, to put in the basement. Since I already had an account (and already set up one last year) it was simple to install. It can adjust my thermostat, and a few other smart gadgets. If you like Google speaker products, this is a deal - a Home speaker for the price of a mini. For the sale price, I definitely recommend it.

We love Google Home so much we bought 2 more to give as gifts! It's the easiest thing ever to install and even easier to use. Just say Hey Google and you get what you need. My favorite feature is to play music without having to use 6 remotes! Just say Hey Google, play smooth jazz on Pandora and BOOM! Beautiful music comes out of that thing with a really great sound. Another great feature - you're cooking, your hands are sticky with whatever and you forget how many cups are in a quart. You don't even have to yell at Google. Just nicely ask OK Google. How many cups are in a quart and BOOM! She gives it to you and doesn't tell you that you're stupid for not knowing that! This is the best $129 we've spent in a very long time.

I choose Google Home after reading all the comparisons to Echo. While Echo seemed to be the dominant choice, I ultimately choose Home because of Google. After using the product I'm impressed by its sound, and responsiveness. I wish I could have purchased it at BF pricing, but will be purchasing the "Mini" soon!

Great companion for every room in the house. Good sound quality. We use this for a kitchen timer, music, playing games, weather update and more. I would only change one thing... if you are not looking at the unit when you say 'hey google' you don't know if it is activated because it doesn't reply to the activation request.

I've been trying to determine which is better Alexa or Google Home. I can say that Google Home is better at answering questions and integrates with your phone Alexa still has better smart home integration. The other thing I noticed is that I don't have to wait for the notification tone to ask my question, like with Alexa.

I LOVE my Google Home speaker. As more time goes on, Google continues to add more features making it worth the buy. Right now, I can turn on/off my television when paired with my Chromecast Ultra, can turn on/off my Samsung Powerbot vacuum with voice commands, change the temperature of my thermostat (Nest) and lock my front door + close my garage door (through Vivint). I just wish I did not need to first "communicate" with Vivint before asking it to do the door functions. It just adds an unnecessary step! I would like to just simply ask it to "Close garage door." or "Lock the front door." Right now, I have to first ask it to talk to Vivint, then ask Vivint to lock or close. Otherwise, it is working out phenomenally in every other respect. There is still so much more I have not explored with it and plan on expanding. Looking forward to using smart lights/switches!

I bought this Google Home because I was curious about voice activated smart speakers, and for $79 It was priced well. Easy to set up, I have used it for very basic functions to date (timer, weather, music, and it performs all the functions very well. As more features are added, I will try those out as well.

I opted for the google home rather than echo with alexa because i am an android person rather than iphone and i dont really do much with amazon. Being an android person i am used to "Ok Google" . This is a lot of fun playing games and asking questions, just sit this in the middle of the group and play away

Great device, good sound, excellent far field mics, great features, but... Alexa is better for most everything - controlling devices, falling asleep to music, connecting to Bluetooth or wired speakers. It does one thing much better than Alexa - you can look up phone number and dial it via one command - e.g. call Dominos

I have a Google home and have paired it with 3 minis. We use is a whole lot more then we ever expected. We use it for music, as an intercom, to control some lights in the house, and the kids even play games on it, like Belles castle adventure. This is one of those products you didnt know you needed till you own one.

We actually bought a 2 pack of these as Christmas gifts but we have one in our house along with several Google Minis. I keep my full size in the kitchen and it's so helpful while I'm cooking, for random additions to the shopping list as I notice them, asking random questions, listening to music that pops in my head. Also, you get all the benefits of Google handsfree. And she puts a link in your app if you want to review it later. There are a few bugs here and there, but I see thing getting better as we go too. Lots of fun. My 6 year old loves it too - he was excited when he finally got Google to understand him when he speaks. I recommend these to everyone. Great product.

I really love this product, i cant think of a day that i dont use this product. From the time i wake up (Using the alarm) until i go to sleep (Listen to some new's or Music) i use it to switch the lights on, turn it off, play something on my Tv, set the thermo stat. (almost anything and everything)
