At full price the Google Home is a good value. On sale it's an great value. Although not perfect the Google Assistant works really well and is a lot of fun. Plus it's constantly learning/updating and improving. The speaker sounds excellent at low volumes and fair when louder. The build quality is excellent. Its ability to distinguish multiple users by voice is great and works extremely well. I purchased this Google Home with the Philips Hue Starter Kit and they work perfectly together. The Philips Hue Lights are awesome with just the app, but controlling the lights (turning on/off, dimming, changing color, etc.) with the Google Home works amazingly well and is just a lot of fun.

I have resisted purchasing an in home computerized assistance, but Google Home was free when I purchased my appliances. It sat in it’s box for awhile before I reluctantly decided to try it out. I love Google Home! I was most impressed by the ease of setup, and the instructions for use...great item

I bought both of these as Christmas gifts for my sons so they have not personally used them yet. My friend has one so I got to see it work. We are sports trivia enthusiasts. This will be great to use when we are stumped by a question. They also love music so these will be great for playing music.

The Google home does a ton of things. You can connect it to your smart home devices. Ask goggle anything and she responds. I use it as a Bluetooth speaker more than my other speakers. It's very convenient for busy people since you can make shopping lists, schedule appts on your calender and more.

I've been reading all the reviews saying Home will be better than Alexa, but I have both Home and Alexa wired to my hue lights and audio. For me, it seems Google home is just easier to use. You can fumble your command and it seems to just figure it out. Whereas Alexa you have to be very precise, even with pronunciation. I never listened to podcasts until Google home because I didnt want to have to install an app or download or figure it out. With Home you just say play the Serial podcast, and right away it plays it. It will even restart were you left off. A function I incorporated with IFTTT was to tell Google to get the kids. This would flash the lights in their room, so I wouldn't have to walk upstairs to call them down for dinner. Yes, it makes us lazier but also makes our busy lives easier.

Google Home is a winning addition to any home. Backed by Google's vast knowledge and diverse services, it entertains and surprises. I love the "My Day" feature and was using it for a couple of days. I'd forgotten that it was my birthday and was surprised when it said Happy Birthday and started singing. It made me smile and made my day. I've set it up to turn a lamp on and off by voice command so I don't have to stumble around in the dark when it needs to be turned off at night or on in the early morning hour. I've created a mellow and relaxing playlist from Google Play for bedtime to start the relaxation process. I can also easily set wake up alarms and timers. I love it!

This actually is a functional product. It is very handy when checking the weather forecast or playing music through Google Play. I also use it to change the thermostat and control my Phillips Hue Lights. I expect it to become more useful as the applications increase. I actually like this product.

I've had my Google Home for over a year now and I love it. I use it mainly to control the lights in my house, as well as my fan using a wemo mini, and my Nest thermostat. It integrates flawlessly with so many different smart home devices. It also has pretty decent sound for playing music. I love that I can quickly ask it for things like the weather, movies showing in theater, commute time to work, to do quick calculations, or even make phone calls. I only wish I could customize my Google Home separate from my other 2 Google Home minis. Since all of my Google Homes are linked to my account, if I make a customization such as changing the voice, they all update.

I love the Google home. Initially I purchased a home mini. I like it but felt the Google home would work better in a larger room. The assistant works good. The speaker is ok when listening to music. For its size I feel it's a little bass heavy. I think for music vocals are clearer with the Google home Mini.

This was my first purchase of an AI device for my home. At first i thought i wouldnt need it, but it blended smoothly with my everyday needs. It really comes in handy for reminders, daily briefings and playing music on specific tvs in my household. I still have a lot of discover with this device.

I currently own this and 3 Amazon Echo Dots. Right now, the dots are more useful with my smart home appliances. I use the Samsung smartthings hub which gives me more features on Google home such as controlling my Ecobee thermostat. I expect it to have more uses as they update it. Speakers sound good to me and Google assistant is miles ahead of Alexa. It's really simple to use. My 5 year old and 3 year old like asking it random questions and playing music from Google Play Music. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and if they ever have them under 100 again, I'll probably buy another one for the bedroom. I also bought one for my parents (tech amateurs) and they use it more than I do.

This was a birthday gift for my 15 year old son who has made our home a smart home with lighting and television remotes. He even waited a month after his birthday to get it due to its release date. He said some have had trouble with the speaker not working but that google was quick to replace but he has had no trouble. We ended up putting it in his room to connect to his lights & getting an echo dot for the main living area in our house due to it being a little less expensive and can connect to our GE refrigerator with a keurig coffee maker in the door to warm water. Both are good. Nice to ask google to play music turn lights on and off and any questions you have really, even playing trivia games & local weather.

This was in a promotion when I bought a complete system and did not pay anything for this. With that being said, I would have no problem buying one of these. I've become very dependent on it and amazed by how much it does. The more I get into it the more I'm surprised by what it's capable of.

I am just getting into home automation so not sure how to feel about these devices. They do what they say they will do, with a few quirks. It works well with my smartthings hub at turning my lights on and off. The sound quality of the music is fine. Wish I could control my Sonos speakers with this, but no real luck yet. It occasionally has problems answering fairly easy questions, and I think it is more due to how google works. We asked it the other day who had the best record in baseball and it kept responding with the yankees are leading the AL east. Yeah, thanks google. It is a fun novelty so far but can answer basic questions about weather that are nice to have at your voice command.

Was really excited to get these Google Home units. My sister and her husband had installed them in their home and I was in awe of the possibilities and capabilities of these products. I bought them for my home and I am quickly becoming a fan. Hope to get more compatible accessories to fully utilize them.

Paired with a Samsung SmartThings hub these are perfect endpoints for home automation. They have very decent sounds for the size. They work well and are pretty responsive. I have them setup in enough rooms that my entire house can be controlled from about anywhere hands free. It's great.

We got this recently when it went on sale. It's been great so far. WE are mostly using it for playing music. Our kids (3 and 5) love it as well and have been pestering it with questions non-stop. Better the Google Home than us!

So the speaker is pretty great, but there are a few issues. 1) If you have music playing, it's hard for the speaker to hear your voice. 2) netflix + android tv doesnt work. my nvidia shield cannot open netflix with the google home speaker. It does turn my tv on and off (i have cec enabled on my shield and my tv). I just ordered a harmony and will configure it to turn my receiver on and off as well. 3) i live in the city of los angeles, but about 20+ miles from downtown in a suburb of los angeles. temperature differences can be 15-20 degrees. even though i entered my home address, it still pulls weather data from downtown los angeles when i ask about the weather. a little annoying to say, "hey google, how's the weather in "my city", as opposed to "hey google, hows the weather" so far so good, and it has replaced my echo.

I ordered a Google home so I can easily have music streaming in the background. However I use it for all sorts of things. Also, great that it recognizes different voices so it responds to different people in the household. Lastly, it is great that you can group different speakers together.

I loved mine so much I went out and bought 13 more as Christmas gifts for my favorite people and now they are buying for their loved ones. I use it for my alarm clock, weather information where ever I travel to, play my favorite songs and ask random questions with response within seconds.
