Google really does work on this constantly and it's constantly improving. So what started as a 3 star is up to a 5 and getting better

We checked out Google Home and also Echo. Decided on Google Home and must say it works very well. Would recommend to friends and family.

We used to have the Amazon echo, sold it and got this. Google can answer so many more questions. I want to get another one for upstairs.

Great For weather, music, and google information. Only wish it has an extension of the home like the amazon has the dot to the home.

Google Home has extraordinary speaker quality and clarity. In addition to using it for information, I love playing music over it.

It's very similar to my eco and tap. I would say this is another way to simply your life through technology. For the price it's not a bad deal.

This is the first "AI assistant" type product I have ever used. I am sure there are many things I have yet to realize that it can do. With all the additional products available, there isn't much that can't be accomplished, simply by talking. An example would be the routines. You can set up a bedtime routine that can set an alarm, turn off lights (addt'l products required) and TV, set the thermostat, and more. Pretty cool and entertaining product.

The google home is so neat I would recommend it to everyone who loves to play music and help with cooking great meals and baked goods.

I bought myself one this past summer and loved it so much I bought more for Xmas gifts. Family seems to enjoy as much as I do.

Like other reviews have stated, this is Google's version of a personal assistant. I bought my sister Alexa 1 yr ago, so I'm able to make direct comparisons. Pros- quick responses, witty, accurate, voice and sound effects change depending on service. Games. Casting to TV or speakers works well. Cons- only 2 microphones (you have to speak loud with background noise) sound quality is adequate, but wish it were better for music without casting. Services and features are in their early stages, but I look forward to seeing what the future brings.

I love being able to hear the music I like, and it even plays games with me it's just amazing .grandkids love asking her questions.

I bought it for christmas for my son. He set it up in no time. He and his gf love it. Blends in nice with any decor.

I had one since the Black Friday sale for $99 which I kept it for a month to try it out. I found the lack of only google cast and very limited casting options to be not worth it after a while plus the high cost of any home automation items to pair with it were not worth the upfront cost for the limited functionality at this point. I got a free trial to YouTube music for 6 months with it which was nice, but after I would not pay for it and that was the only thing that made it stay that long in my house. I really do not want to have to pay for a music service or listen to mixed internet radio stations. A major issue I ran into was that it always requires Wi-Fi to do about everything. I would have kept it to let it mature in support for it, but I could not get past the fact that if it got disconnected from Wi-Fi it would not sound any alarms I would set which does not make it reliable at all. During the period of getting more maturity, I was going to use it mainly as an alarm clock, music player, etc. for my room. I could not do that since when I thought it was connected sometimes I would ask it something then it would say go to the app to connect the Home to Wi-Fi which it cannot do much else when disconnected. If it had Bluetooth or an auxiliary connection on it then I could see setting it in another area for better music playback and would have looked past the alarm clock and other not matured features. In the end it will work well for people who have accumulated compatible home automation items and are in deep with Google's services. Right now I would not recommend it but in the future if things are worked out or version two adds more than I might consider it again.

I love this product. The sound is great. You do have to sign up to utube or pandora to play music. Will not play iTunes from the phone

For someone fully invested in Google products, this is a must have. The connectable services aren't yet as rich as the Amazon Echo, but Google has released their support for adding third-party connections so it's not long off. My biggest complaint is the lack of support for multiple accounts per device. To be a smart home device, it is pretty important to be able to support multiple family members. It's not a major issue but is a missing feature. Luckily updates are simple so I'm looking forward to that being fixed in the future as well.

This was so easy to setup, my wife did it herself. Everyone in the family loves it. Just waiting on a few more apps to be able to add.

It’s still learning so it can’t answer much. WARNING, it’s always listening and will respond when not prompted. However, it’s a cool gadget. The kids ask for jokes all the time.

This is a must item to have around the house for every age, there is almost an unlimited amount of tasks you can ask it to do
