A fun devise with lots of possibilities
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wasn't sure what all I could do with this gadget when I bought it but I bought it anyway! One of the best decisions I have made. My wife and I love it and are going back to get an additional one, and my daughter is getting one for her dorm room.

Fun and functional
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Google home is not only fun but also functional. To get instant answers to questions or resolve disputes is fun but also for serious things like weather and traffic is fantastic. The music of course is a main feature and with very good sound.

Great product / Great service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The features of this voice activated speaker simply are better (at least the features I needed). Across the board access through the speaker, phone, and pad is key. And of course Best Buy service through online ordering to pick up was flawless.

Great sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound quality, compared to the Amazon echo, however it's expected due to size comparison. Lacking the ability to stream phone to google home is a drawback. Seems Wif is needed on phone to control streaming music, this seems like a let down for my use.

Great Device for General Questions and Music
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We use this device to ask general questions, play music, etc. It's great, and it entertains the kids. Speaker is pretty decent by itself. Microphone has a bit of trouble picking up the voice when playing music, but other than that it is great.

Great quality that exceeds the competition
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical about the smart home speaker craze that friends and family seem to be going on about, but then I picked up a Google Home and it replaced my more expensive bluetooth speaker and answers questions I would normally use my phone for.

Easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Google home has been both a blessing and a curse to our home. A blessing because now all of the useless facts that I have learned over the years are backed up with one quick question to Google. It takes but minutes to prove once and for all, that I, the woman of the house, is indeed correct about many things...but all good things eventually must come to an end. Every morning it has changed from my man saying "good morning honey" to "good morning Google"....hmmmm. I dont know that I like being traded in for an electronic. I guess we will see how long Google home makes it in our home. On a lighter note, the speaker is awesome. The sound quality is excellent. The colors of the unit are neutral and will fit most decor. Another negative point is the obsession my husband has buying the multiple lights to outfit our entire home. I personally like the regular ol' fashioned light bulb. My man tries to impress me with different light shows, while all i can think about is how much the light show has cost. It is pretty spectacular, I will admit. My original 100.00 gift has now cost the household roughly an additional 1000.00. But when the lightening storm is playing and the lights are in sync with the sound? You have to see it to experience it for yourself! Overall, a superb product that we will utilize for everything from recepies to music to any useless information that you can think of to ask.

Love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product. Fun to play games with family. Great to stream music through. And controls the Phillips lights that I also purchased with this product. The only thing is it’s a little glitchy so you have to reset sometimes, but other than that I love it!!

Better Than Echo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My girlfriend wanted to "upgrade" from the Echo to these since she uses Google so much on her phone and is trying to get me to do the same. I'll just say that these are much better than the Echo and they seem to listen/understand much better.

VERY COOL BUT...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.VERY COOL STUFF GOOGLE BUT STILL NOT UP THERE WITH AMAZON ECHO YET. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A DEVICE TO ASK QUESTIONS AND PLAY GAMES AND NOT SO MUCH HOME AUTOMATION THIS IS THE ONE . IT DOES HAVE SO AUTOMATION FEATURES THAT WORK BUT ECHO FAR SURPASSES IT!

Fun stuff!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good! Some questions need to be asked differently and most of the time she gets to the point. Enjoying it. Once I get more grounded I'll be able to use it more and will be able to speak more about it. She's very good with the weather and wind!

Overall this is a great product!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the Google Home over the Amazon Echo because it allows me to sync my Google services into one without having to use a third-party software like Amazon does. Also, this is a great Bluetooth speaker which is loud and clear in a fairly large room.

I'd expect much more from Google
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an Alexa via Echo Dot for over half a year before buying a Google Home, so much of my preference and judgment has a foundation with that. Pros: 1. Google Home's built-in online search can be really awesome sometimes. Some questions like "Was Dr. Seuss actually a doctor?" get a semi-helpful answer that is satisfying. 2. The device's internal speakers are much better than Alexa's. Alexa's max volume setting seemed to be around Google Home's 6 or 7/10 setting. The quality also seems much better. 3. The compatibility with a Chromecast can be kinda cool, and when it works, it feels magical. Saying "Hey Google, resume watching Parks and Rec from Netflix on the Chromecast" and seeing the next episode begin to stream is an amazing convenience when you're holding a baby in your arms and trying to eat a quick lunch. 4. Asking Google Home for the temperature only gives you the temperature. Compared to Alexa, where asking for the temperature gave you the full weather report. It's a small difference, but I appreciate it. Cons: 1. Google Home's built-in online search can be really disappointing sometimes. Questions like "What's an alternative for heavy cream when cooking?" get the canned "I'm sorry, but I don't know how to help with that." answer. An online search on desktop returns a featured in-search snippet with instructions for making an alternative. I'd like Google Home to at least offer that as an option of something to read to me. 2. The device's size isn't so much an issue for me, but it does mean it won't easily hide behind decorations. If your SO doesn't want an electronic device sitting somewhere in the open, this may pose a problem. 3. If you or your living partner is like my wife, the device may be partially hidden behind or under something. In our case, it's underneath a decorative cake stand, and because of the microphone being on top, the cake stand can sometimes block your voice. If the volume is over 7 on the Google Home and playing music, don't even try talking to the device without being right next to it. The Echo Dot was short and never seemed to struggle with hearing my voice. Maybe it's because the volume wasn't very loud compared to the Google Home, but it's frustrating nonetheless. 4. If you use Spotify, good luck trying to get it to play your playlists. I have yet to figure out how to make it play my playlists other than Discover Weekly. I'm a premium member, I've read all of the guides online, but have no way to make it play them. It's very frustrating, especially considering I could say "Alexa, play my "vibin" playlist" and Alexa would start streaming a playlist called "Vibin and Groovin".

Great up to a certain point
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything about this device is amazing. Setup was very fast and easy. Sound quality was well over my expectations (has a good amount of bass for it's size). And has a reply for almost every question/command I give it. Only problem is that without smart home tech, you're missing out on half of the potential. I would highly recommend purchasing smart lights, Chromecast, and others of the like in order to take advantage of the Home's full potential. Without those other devices (which are very expensive) it doesn't leave much left to use other than a speaker with Google Assistant.

Usefully useless- Great for music
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I frequently ask my google home random questions throughout the day, and it usually works well. Where this product really shines is the speaker loudness and quality. I have a smallish apartment but can hear the speaker from any room in the house.

Best Assistant in the Market
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great product, has a lot of features compared to other assistants like calling feature, multiple accounts, understands my accent pretty well and of course the power of Google. If you have a chromecast then this is a perfect choice.

My 4th time buying this! It's a great gift!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super simple to set up. I purchased this as a gift for a couple who are in their 60s. They aren't super tech savvy, but I'm positive they will be able to handle this w/ no issues (after owning 2 for myself - and my 70 yr old mother having one too).

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So Far So Good, I just need to learn all I can do with this. Shape of Things to Come
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe you have seen futuristic Sy-Fy movies where someone walks into a room a gives a command like "TV ON", "LIGHTS ON", "PLAY MUSIC", etc etc etc. Well its no longer futuristic; its now, and its just the beginning. There will be no need for light switches, remote controls, keys, and the list goes on and on. I purchased Google Home for my son. He had it operational within minutes. He uses Google Home to turn the lights on and off in his room, to play music, to wake him up in the morning to name just a few things. This is just the tip of the technological future. Google Home is amazing

Very Smart and easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Google home works great and is easy to set up and use. Only complaint is that it sometimes it makes me go back into the app and sign back into my account before it will work. Could be user error but I am not an idiot when it comes to electronics.
