I have both Googl Home and Amazon Echo/Dot, several of each. Must say Google is more easy to talk to, it understands the nuance of your words and flexible more like a human. Alexa on the other hand is rigid and refused to take any chance if you speak off course a bit. Yet, Alexa can almost anything you would possibly need at this digital age. Everyone is concerned about Google's persistency of making google home better, in Microsoft style, never quit and never shy for being me too product. I surely hope Google is different this time, or it's too much on the stake to loose.

So far I have been quite impressed with how well the Google home works. I find this to be an invaluable tool that I use in conjunction with the Internet on a regular computer.. This is also a great tool to use in a home office setting where you can play background music, check your schedule and do a myriad of other tasks by just talking. We also have this in conjunction with our Amazon echo and each has their own strengths and weaknesses.. The Google home seems to do better on off-the-cuff random questions and the echo works really well with my audible account and news updates.

I enjoy using my Google Home way more than the Amazon Alexa, had both and decided to stick with Google. Features are added regularly and are always a delightful addition to the many things this little neat clean looking device can do.

Purchased this for my parents as age and eye sight is is a concern with my parents got this and bulbs so my mom can just ask for the lights to be turned on in the stair well and bathrooms and now she can just ask for her music while she knits

This was an impulse purchase, because of the TV ads. I can not utilize all of the really cool features of the Google, but for the music and the basics of asking questions, i really like it. Hopefully i can use more features as time goes by.

While around the house. It's nice to be able to call out to Google and play whatever genre or artist you want to hear. It is also kind of funny when you're asking somebody question and you can call out to Google and get the answer.

I wanted to buy an echo for the versatility of a speaker with a digital assistant, but bought this with the Black Friday deal. Pros: -Form factor -Great speaker -90% accuracy with voice recognition -Nest and Google ecosystem integration. Cons: -No Bluetooth -Radio with tunein doesn't work all the time. It randomly says - this station is not available in your country and then on subsequent tries works. -Plays music with YouTube red and not Google music. You tube red is 6 months free with this. Overall I am happy with the hope Google will make it better.

I enjoy a quick way to make home control commands (lights/etc.) and also quick access to music and radio while working around the house. Google Assistant is constantly improving and I look forward to additional options in the coming months.

I purchased this at Best Buy the day it came out. The first one I bought ended up being defective and Google sent a replacement. The second one has been working well. I'm soft spoken so sometimes it doesn't understand me. It is pretty nice being able to turn on\off lights and set the thermostat by just saying a command. I use the timer on it and use it to check weather. I also use it to play music and the speakers are adequate for me. I'm looking forward to it having more functionality in the future, like being able to access Chromecast with Netflix and Hulu with it.

I love this because it's a search engine and can answer my silly questions unlike Alexa (which I bought an returned). Connecting it to Pandora, the music quality is great and now we have connected our thermostats to it! PERFECT

How would you like a google assistant that reads you your google search? Asked it for flight status and it read it too me. Ask it to call for pizza and it dials. Used the amazon echo for years. Replacing them with google home.

This product really has changed my day to day life at home. I used to loathe walking back down after forgetting to turn off the kitchen light right after climbing up the stairs to my room. Thank you for making my life easier!

I absolutely love this product. It's easy to set up and easily identifies my voice. It connected seamlessly with my Nest. Definitely a must have!

The AI for google is really good. The responsiveness of the speaker is like speaking to your phone. The speakers are nice and loud and love the fact that you can easily control other items throughout the house with my voice.

Home is good. ready to go out of the box. Easy set up. Had a great few days with everyone using home and drive everyone crazy breaking in period. Handy to get time, weather. When synced to google account home can read agenda from google calender. Slowly going to home automate someday. Waiting for google to really shine and update home with more features. For now I'm very happy with home. Also love to play music on home. It's not a party sound system but it's a great loud speaker for relaxation of ambient music in the background. It's a great google product!

Super easy to install. I ask "Hey Google" to "fetch" news--NPR, ABC, the weather. Fun to ask questions. I have used it mainly to request certain music "playlists" from Spotify (free). If you subscribe to Spotify, you can request more specific music. I just name a musician and Google Home finds a general "Radio Playlist." For ex, "Hey Google, play Robin Spielberg" and easy piano listening music will play. Do the same for "Queen," "Beethoven," "Chopin," "Mozart," "Beatles," etc. Have fun seeing what "Google" can search!

I have 2 Home Mini's in my house, but my girlfriend wanted the same functionality for larger rooms and on a patio so the fill size Google Home fit the bill. You'll love the novelty of getting the news, turning on & adjusting the brightness of house lights, getting the weather forecast in your city/in your favorite city, playing music all with near flawless voice commands. I wish you could name it yourself. It does not have lots of info wish it had more. Does not know how to go to the internet. Can't tell me what is in the area. Places, or if there are places in the area. Where they are or how many, just needs more info. She did tell me she loved my cats on her own. Kinda scary isn't it. Love it more after it tells me more. Like the size. has good sound. I hope they give her more info soon. Could also be educational, good for older people that can't get around well, just could be lots of help around the house or office.

Easy to connect to my SmatThing account to control my lighting. Great research tool for the kids homework. Plus works well for the easy things like weather, listening to radio while getting ready in the morning plus more.

I am very happy with the Google Home. It was easy to set up and link to various smart devices. I would give it a 5 star rating if it would ready appointments that I sync to my Google account from my Microsoft Outlook work calendar.
