I'm blown away from google home what it all does
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the google home for my new apartment and I am totally blown away what it all does ! I love it, the way I can talk to it and command it to tell him what to do. It's a fantastic assistant to me like my new friend :) I would recommend it any time to everyone ! Most my friends have the Alexa from Amazon which I actually went to Best Buy for to buy one then the guy from google approached me and explained me google home and I'm happy I got the google home ! And it was way cheaper yeahhhh !

Good item for the household
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The home is nice, it convenient to have. For I $130 though I expected it to be move impressive than the mini but there isn't I big difference between the two expect for the home having a slightly better mic and speaker.

Great, definitely beats Echo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Google Home is a great assistant to have sitting around. I have it in our kitchen and it's been very good about answering any question I ask it, adding things to lists, checking weather or scores, turning on/off the lights (with minimal steps for integration), etc. There are a lot more questions you can ask Google Home than you can ask Alexa. Alexa just has pre-baked phrases it expects whereas Google Home is more capable of contextually determining what you're asking (though it's still a work in progress).

Easy to use and Fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have linked this with the lights and music in our house and it's fabulous. So easy the kids are always yelling things like, "ok google, what 12 times 54" when doing homework. Super easy to use and set up!

Glad I Bought It!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Google home is not an essential must have item but it comes in handy and I'm loving it. It's very useful for cooking - timing, measurement questions, substitutes, etc. but it's also great for answering household questions - how to??? and for answering curiosity questions and just about anything else. The sound is excellent - very clear. It was easy to set up. I plan to integrate it with my television and door bell and probably other items as Google capability continues to evolve.

Love my Google Home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased Google Home after first getting my "techie" son one for Christmas. He loves his and was showing me what it could do. I decided I wanted one. So far I have mostly used it to play music, ask about the weather, etc., but I plan to get some "smart" plugs and plug my lamps into them so I can turn my lights on and off. Also may eventually get a Nest thermostat. I have a 2015 Hyundai Sonata and I'm hoping that it will eventually interface with Google Home so I can use it for remote start, etc.

Such a great all around entertaining device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Actually funny that my wife and I each purchased one for each other for Christmas. Have them located in two different areas of our home. Amazing how simple to set up and function. We're enjoying them tremendously each day and learn something new each day that they can do. Actually believe that they can learn. Music sound is phenomenal coming from these units and they have simplified our lives greatly. Being senior age adults, they actually have enriched our lives and made them so less complicated.

Overtaking Alexa
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 3 each of the Amazon Echo and the Google Home. The speakers in the Home are pretty darned good for a small device like this (better than the original Echo and on par and stereo like the Echo Tap). The BEST part of the Home is that with multiples they sync. This was my biggest gripe with the Echo. On the Home you an play music or podcasts on all of them at the same time and they'll all be in sync. As for other everyday tasks, you have the power of google directly so many more inquiries get answered on the Home than the Echos. Another thing about the home: They're really working hard to improve, and want to hear from their owners. Any time a thought strikes simply speaking the command: "Hey Google, Feedback" brings the prompt for your idea along with a thank you at the end. I tried that with the Echos and got "I don't know how to help with that"..... Both are really great devices and have their strengths. For me the only thing Echo has over the Home is my Audible books (an Amazon property). Amazon just released the "Amazon Show", but from day 1 the Home is cast enabled. You can pull up youtube or netflix videos to any cast enabled tv. Echo just released they're echo to echo call feature where you an call another echo like an intercom. While not out yet, Google is rolling out their own calling feature whereas you can call not only other google homes, but any phone number. That is just awesome.....

Experience New Google Assistant
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This makes my life so easy. I have hue lights, MeWo smart plug and Logitech Harmony. With IFTTT integration you can control above devices. Google home is recognizing my sound from 20 feet in quite environment. I am surprised how it identifying my voice actions in noisy times. I love this product and Google keep adding more and more services to the Google Assistant every day. Also, they open up there Google Assistant API to public. We can see more and more smartness every day with google assistance.

Good but could be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So to start I have both the Amazon Echo and Google Home. I bought the echo first. It is a good product but I haven't felt comfortable with it for some reason. It works well, but perhaps I'm just used to OK Google's voice. When Google Home came out I bought it. I use it practically every day to listen to news, add reminders, timers, shopping items, and to play some music. I'd probably play more music if I wasn't worried about my neighbors. The Echo has some positives and the Home has some positives. Primarily Google Home does most of what you can do from your phone. It's also a blue tooth speaker (haven't tried this yet). It has good sound and I would recommend the product to anyone who wants a audio assistant around the house. Are you concerned with someone listening to your conversations in the house at all times? Then this product probably isn't for you. But if you can use a little help then it's nice. Is it worth the full price(I bought it with $25 off)? I'm not sure. But I do use it quite a bit. Annoyances... if someone says OK Google it reacts to it. Wish it could be limited to just my voice. Echo has the same issue. If I'm trying to ask my phone a question in another room then Google Home answers thru it's speakers instead of the phones. Not the worst thing, but not what I was trying to do. It can't do everything you can do on an android phone through google. I feel like it should be able to but it can't. Forexample, you can't set a reminder through Google Home, and since my phone is currently in the same room, I can't use the phone using voice to set a reminder either because the Google Home takes control of the feedback. But I could do a reminder on my phone if Google Home wasn't around. It also can't add events to my calendar... but I could do it thru the phone when I'm not in a spot where Google Home takes over. Overall... recommended buy if you are a tech geek or just like having audio around. It is nice . Looks great (better than the Echo in my opinion) And I find it useful which is the biggest thing. Could I live my life without it. Yes but it does make life easier.

Great Assistant and Good speaker for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tried both the Amazon Echo as well as the Google Home and I feel the Google Home just about edges this. The speaker is great for such a tiny device. My favorite feature is asking it about my day early morning and the assistant fills me up on my schedule for the day, weather, commute to work and news from all the podcasts. Also a great device for listening to music at night. Its becoming a bigger part of my day than I expected when I bought it. A good buy overall.

Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Google Home is a great product! It can do many smart home tasks like stream Netflix on tv through chromecast, play the latest news and everything. In my opinion it is much better than the Amazon echo.

Easy to set up and use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not "tech savvy", with this, I didn't need to be. It does exactly what they advertise. I love turning my lights on and off with it before entering or after leaving the rooms. Getting information on places I want to go. And even showing my husband I'm right...sometimes. Yes, it can settle simple disagreements like spellings or the meanings of words and even what a Spanish word means. All in fun. I love it when a song pops into my head and I just ask it to play the song. I really enjoy it.
