I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Google Home. Speaker is not bad for size. I have it in my kitchen. Amazing the searches it can do for music. Controls my Chromecast on my family room TV. Love it!

Easy to set up, effortless to use. My favorite thing is having a shopping list that everyone in my home can add items to and when I get to the store i have all the items on my phone.

Although we haven't used it for a long time, I really love how easy it is to use. My husband installed light switches than can be prompted by Google home command, which was really helpful, especially in the kitchen and living room. I also loved that I didn't have to pre program it with too many preferences, especially for morning weather and news. We have the Alexa as well and find home is more useful for random questions and facts and to play Spotify music

I purchased Google home after having the mini for a few months. Beside being a better speaker I don't see much difference in usability between the two assistants. If anything it seems the Google mini is more reactive my my vocal commands than the full size Google home. Very easy to install and to set up all the smarts lights and plugs. Just waiting for the Sonos speaker to be able to be controlled by Google home now..

    Excellent Product, Tough Setup

As the title says, this product is excellent, but the setup can be really tough. It requires using a Google App from the Google Play Store, which was easy enough in theory. You download the app, it detects the device, and connects the device to your home WiFi so you can start using it. The problem was it would detect the device and then just sit there and spin trying to move it over to my home WiFi. It took over 2 hours to get it set up finally. Extremely frustrating. Once the setup was complete though, it's a blast to use. I live alone with my kitten so it's nice to be able to just talk to it, or ask it random questions. I don't have many smart devices to connect to it, right now it only turns on my TV. But the use cases are extremely broad, so long as you have smart technology for it to work with. I really enjoy setting up routines on it. It's nice when I say a certain phrase it will give me a brief of my morning news, my commute to work, tell me the weather for the day, and then play news from my news sources. It does almost the same with when I go to bed, but instead it tells me tomorrows weather, sets an alarm at a time I tell it, and then plays a Spotify playlist to help me fall asleep. Simple tasks, but really handy, and fun to play with! Highly recommend, especially if you can get it on sale. Just be prepared for the setup, which can be beyond frustrating.

Bought this after a friend said how useful he found his to be. The sound is suprisingly good. It's fun discovering all it can do, I especially like how easy it is to add an event to my calendar. My family has a lot of fun with it, asking outrageous questions, playing games and accessing music. Convenient just to ask a question without looking for my phone, it should prove interesting to see how it advances as it learns. Cool, useful product.

It was easy to set up and worked well straight out of the box. I am still learning the extent of what it can do. Every time I think I know its limits, I find something new I can do with it,

Came as a free perk with LG washer/dryer purchase. Works great and comes in handy for those questions you just can't remember the answer to. Probably would not buy as stand alone.

I bought this unit, and the mini. To be honest with you, I think I like the mini better and I’m not sure what we get for the extra money this costs over the mini. Wen I used this as a Bluetooth speaker, a couple of times it kept unpairing for some reason. And although not a design flaw, be warned it doesn’t work with Apple Music. But it works just fine with Pandora and Spotify accounts. I’m not sure about Amazon Music.

I always read reviews before I buy something and this purchase was no different. I initially bought one Google Home and quickly bought two more. I love that you can group the speakers to simultaneously play music. It's great for when I'm cleaning the house and going room to room. The Home effortlessly controls my Philips Hue bulbs and Nest thermostat. It's very interesting to see how the Home responds to questions and follow up questions. That being said, there still is a lot it does not seem to know and there are simple tasks it can't do "yet". But the "yet", coupled with the fact that it's a newer product, gives me hope that it will only improve over time. The setup was super easy. The design integrates well with my home. Lastly, as a person who is primarily an Apple guy, I was curious as to how I would make use of Google without having their services. I did have a subscription to YouTube Red which I paid $12.99 for through the Apple Store. I received a six month subscription to Google Play and YouTube Red when purchasing the Google Home. After that, both of those services together are $9.99 a month, $3.00 less than I was paying for just one service. In that respect, it was absolutely worth getting the Home as YouTube (and Google Play) music plays seamlessly on the Home and Chromecast.

I am sure I don't use this to its fullest capacity, at all....but I have been thrilled with it. I absolutely love it just for playing music to be honest - I will walk in from work now and say "Hey Google, I'm home" and it will start playing the music I set it up to play on both my Google Home and Google Home Mini speakers - so as I walk throughout the house I hear it everywhere. Make sure to look up shortcuts and key phrases when you buy one so you can do some of the fun stuff. If you say "Hey Google, I'm feeling lucky" it starts a trivia game. I also have a bedtime routine setup so when I say "Okay Google, goodnight," it tells me the weather for the next day, what's on my calendar, how long it will take me to get to work, it asks me what time to set my alarm, and then plays rain sounds for me (that's what I set it to ....... but it syncs with Spotify, iHeart, Pandora so you can pretty much play whatever you want). Last night, I woke up in the middle of the night and was too lazy to take off my sleep mask and roll over to check the time on my phone or clock so I laid there and said "Okay Google, what time is it?" hahahaha. I am really happy with this little gadget. You can sync it with lights, thermostats, etc., but like I say, I haven't gotten that far. The difference between this one, the Google Home, and the little Google Home Mini, is the sound - this one provides louder sound and more bass - but the Mini is perfect for my bedroom.

Bought this as a Christmas gift and was present when it was opened, set up and used. It looks like a quality product, SUPER easy to set up (a 13 yr. old did it) and when we started using it to ask questions and play music choices, we had a BLAST! It's sound is VERY strong, clear, balanced. It "heard" our commands made from across two large rooms and never once in thirty or more tries did it fail to understand and quickly execute. GREAT CHOICE.

Great learning tool. You can ask it questions, play games, have it play a recap of the day's news from various sources (that you prioritize), set your thermostat or other smart devices, play podcasts or music, control your Netflix and Smart TV, set timers, it will even be silly for you or tell jokes.get the forecast, find out stock prices, and on and on. Love it and will likely get another, or at least a Google mini.

I previously owned the Amazon Echo, and decided I wanted to make the switch over to the Google Home device. I own the Google Pixel XL for my cellphone, and am on Google's Project Fi phone service, so I wanted to condense all of my technologies over to Google. For the most part, Google's Home does a pretty good job at matching what the Echo provides. Some of the main differences revolve around the searching abilities. Some questions I will ask Google Home and get a completely random response. One example was the other day, I asked what year a song was released. Google Home responded with the name and artist of the song, but no release date. Amazon Echo would respond correctly. However, Google Home generally answers most other questions correctly for me. When I first purchased the unit, it did not have a shopping list, or a to-do list built in like Amazon Echo. That was both extremely surprising and disappointing. I had grown accustomed to having that ability when I was busy cooking/cleaning in my kitchen. The other downside is it seems to only want to play music off of the Google Play music store. Amazon Echo had the added bonus of if you were an Amazon Prime member, that you would have access to their music library, which was nice. You have to pay extra for a subscription to Google Play music. All in all, it all depends what type of functionality you want. Both of the devices are good. I do prefer the Google Home to the Echo, simply because it keeps all of my electronics on the Google spectrum. I can add something to my calendar through Google Home, and it will automatically add it on my phone for me. Some software updates to increase compatibility and search results, and this will soar past the Echo.
