Great sound and voice controls
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this item so that I could have a sound-controlled speaker for my kitchen/dining room. It was very easy to set up, and the voice control is able to pick up the commands from my 2 and 4 year olds. While it's functionality isn't complete yet, I've noticed small improvements that Google has sent in the month that I've owned it. Highly recommend!

Better than the Echo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, this is a great AI enabled speaker. The sound quality is noticeably better than the Amazon Echo, and is much smaller and more inconspicuous. Google does a much better job at figuring out what you are asking for and interpreting the right action to take. My only complaints are that it is slightly slower to deliver results from web searches or streaming apps, and it is definitely behind the Echo in terms of what smart apps it supports.

Google Home is the one to have!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to set up, even for a beginner.. There is not much, if anything, I have found that google Home cannot answer. The music is absolutely amazing . The information asked is quickly and politely answered. Accessibility from cell phones and tablets is very covienient, for pause and continue. Compared to the competition, Google Home is a must have.

Great to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I opened the box, plugged it in, and connected to my wifi. I have a google account and was set up in 5 minutes. I downloaded Google Home app to my cellphone and it began playing my music playlist that I have on google music app. It recognised my voice and it aswered questions quickly. I gave one to my granddaughter too. She was playing it before from her phone needing earbuds. Now she can use this to play her music. She really loves it.

Great sounding for a small room!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great smart device. It does most everything well. It does a good job of picking up your voice no matter where you are in the room. I think it is aesthetically pleasing too.

Better sound then Echo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have both an Amazon Echo and a Google Home. I use the Google Home in the living room because the speaker is better on the home then on the Echo. I would like to see a speaker jack added to the Home but it does allow Bluetooth connection to external speakers. Works well with Phillips Hue lights and insignia remote outlets. Google is adding new features weekly and I’m looking forward to seeing what new tricks they will come up with.

Awesome product.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own both the Amazon Dot and the Home and prefer the Google home much more than the Dot. The voice recognition and quality of responses are superior for me by a long shot.

Lots of potential, frustratingly limited
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's tons of potential for this device, but right now it is limited in some understandable ways but also some frustrating ones. The built in, simple features are nice. You can ask for information from the web and your calendar. Sometimes you have to be specific to make sure it's pulling the info from the right place. Google Play Music has a huge selection of music and podcasts, and it's good at identifying what you're saying, but it can't default to shuffle on playlists: it wants to play them in order, and you have to give it extra commands to get it onto a random song. It also doesn't recognize automatically generated playlists (Thumbs Up, New and Purchased), which is just odd. You can use other services, like Spotify and TuneIn, instead of GPM, as well. If you have a Chromecast (or multiple), you can tell the Home to start YouTube videos on your TV. Google has said they will open this up for other video services soon, and I'm really looking forward to starting up something on Netflix just by talking. For now, though, you can add some functionality out of the box by having different home automation/control systems. It works with Samsung Smart Things, Philips Hue, Logitech Harmony, and others. I went out and got a Logitech Harmony setup, so I can my whole home entertainment system on and off with voice commands that I had to set up using a service called IFTTT. Hopefully they will add direct control later, for more control ans easier setup. While I use it every day, for multiroom audio and because it's faster than finding the remote, I would still put this in the tinker-toy category. It has a lot of growing to do, and needs a decent amount of setup and knowledge to get good use out of it.

Google Home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really enjoying this "Google-world" purchase over the "Amazon-world" purchase. I guess it depends where you want to live. bonus for me: basic volume better with Google than Amazon.

Good start with amazing potential
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Excellent voice recognition Great sound for size Great with home automation gear if you have it Google is actively working to improve this, and it's getting better all the time. Cons: The product feels very early. There is a lot of room to grow. Take a look around at some of the professional reviews on the web for more thoughts on limitations.

I love Google
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Google Home is amazing! The best features include it's ability to tell me about my day each morning simply by saying, "Hey Google, good morning." I can modify which news reports I want, and if I don't want the news, it's easy to play music instead. I've also connected it to my Philips Hue lights and just ask Google to turn my lights on and off (or even dim them). I love my Google Home, and am still finding great uses for it.

Too good to be true!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love Google Home. I thought it would be very gimmicky at first and something we'd learn to ignore, but it is now a staple. If you need to listen to music, just tell it. Need to add something to your list, pick a random number, hear the weather, tell a joke, or entertain the family, this is for you. It is also wonderful as it ties in with many of our other google devices so I can control music and movies throughout the house.
