If you have smart bulbs/light switches/any smart device that supports Google assistant, then you need a Google home. The speakers are great for such a small device. The mids and lows are decent for the price point. And asthetically, it's pretty nice to look at. Always great conversation starter with guess when they hear me turn on and off lights or interact with the home.

I absolutely love my google home! I've been wanting to buy one of these babies for a long time, and when it went on sale for $79 during the holidays, I knew I had to get one- plus a few more as gifts lol (the mini was only $29). Since, I've had the google home, I've been obsessed, completely entertained. I ask it random questions, ask it to play music, command it to do certain tasks (such as alarm or to turn on the coffee maker/lights). I also sync certain apps to make my daily tasks easier. I have both the google home and mini; the home definitely provides better surround sound, but the mini isn't bad at all. The mini may be best for a slightly smaller area. Both are extremely sensitive to sound. I can say a command and it can hear me from any room of the house lol. It also responds to voices. So, it's very personal. For example, if I ask, "Hey Google, add my friend's birthday dinner November 3rd 7 p.m. in my calendar," and it'll add it to MY calendar as opposed to if my brother asks it (if he commands google to add an event, then it'll add it to HIS calendar). It does sooo much more. And I'm sure as the years pass, it'll get smarter, more personalized, and overall soo much better. If you're hesitant on getting the google home (or mini), just take my word and buy it. Just dooo ett. I promise you won't regret it.

This Google Home does so many things to make life easier for me and I love them all but my favorite (this month) is being able to walk in my house with my hands full and say "Hey Google, I'm Home" and have my lights turn on, and then at night as I gather up things in the living room I just say "Hay Google, Goodnight" and they all go off. LOVE IT! I would be remiss not to say how much fun it was to have Google "get Spooky" on Halloween and have the Halloween music playing and the lights going on and off and changing colors. GET ONE! Heck, GET ONE FOR EVERY ROOM!

I originally purchased the Google Home to go along side my smart lighting. But after getting it home and realizing that there were other devices already in my house that Home could interact with, like my Harmony Hub, it started to become more of a toy and something that I interacted with more. Even after training my voice to it, I found that it was somewhat hit of miss with it understanding what I was asking. Ask it to do something and it tells you that it doesn't understand, but say it may be a little slower/faster with more emphasis and works. It is able to tell the difference between my voice and my wife's voice and it will respond with the corresponding persons information. It is not without its problems though. Shortly after getting it, Google had issues on their end causing the device to not respond to any commands. While Google resolved it within a day or two, it made the device useless. I have also had issues where I have cast music to the device and it did not respond after starting the song. I tried to play the next song, but it just kept playing the current one. I tried killing the Google Music app on my Pixel phone, but the Home kept playing the song. Ultimately I had to reset the Home device to get it to stop. To this point, I have only used it for controlling smart devices, but am slowly getting into using it more to interact with my calendar, etc. So far Google Home has been a fun toy, but not a necessity for me to have.

I wasn't planning on buying this item, it came free with my tv purchase. I was surprised however at the good speaker quality & the range of functions it has.

This is a great item for controlling lights (Phillips Hue)and thermostat (Nest). It plays music and makes phone calls. Lots of fun. I can’t wait for more apps.

Great unit and easy to use. Our kids love to “hey google” and that Google Home will respond to each of them. It’s design could be a little sexier.

Had the Echo, but wasn't doing all I had hoped. Got this to try out and works better. Use it to play music, ask questions when cooking. Works great!

This is a great device that is easy to set up and that is surprisingly convenient to have around. Just say "OK Google" and then state your command.

Im loving this device. I wish i could get one device that can control all of my smart home devices, play music, as well as offer the google searching ability all in one. Right now echo is used for a handful of features, and this one is amazing for googling random questions. I can honestly justify having both!

So far I have only used Google to check the weather, play some Christmas music and to check my calendar. So easy just open the box and plug it in.

Very cool, bought for a gift and went back for another. Would like to see it broaden out to allow more as updates come through but all in all a great item

I got the Google Home for music for my wife, who is always trying to listen to something new. With this, she can quickly switch between different stations without fiddling with her phone or iPad. I got it for myself for the integrations with other home devices, like Hue lightbulbs, Chromecast, and more. Was easy to set up and start using. Kids enjoy being able to ask it questions...

This is my first home assist device , I really like it & it's also good fun. Price was very good & I have bought some Google minis to add to home network

Okay firstly, it looks amazing, much prettier than the Echo. Sound quality is amazing for the size and price. Listen to music through it all the time. It is really useful on its own, Google Assistant is amazing. It is really amazing when paired with smart devices, I now have a bunch of smart bulbs, plugs and other things and life is so much easier!

Fantastic product. Google home is always learning and constintaly updating. Controls all my hue lights and lots of other home contended devices.

Great sound and operation. No issues with voice recognition. Recommended. Con: doesn't connect to TV without additional product and operation limited.

Have an 8 month old, so it is nice to put lullaby music on. However, I was misled by the Best Buy employee, he said that I could upload all my songs to Google Play and play from there. This is not true - you can upload playlists, but not songs. Hopefully this functionality will come soon - this is the main reason I bought it. I also hooked up to all my SmartThings devices. That is pretty slick.

Can get a bit frustrating with some queries, but it’s pretty solid overall. Easy way to stream music from Spotify or Pandora from phone or voice command

Great for those times when you need an extra pair of hands. Easy to set up and use. Now able to get quick answers and control lights and sound.
