Google home mini is great! Only downside from full size is not as good bass sound.

I got this item as a Christmas gift from my wife. Our house has lots of Google products mainly Chromecast as well as Chromecast audio. I personally never thought to purchase this item because I didn’t know how well it worked with our other Google products. But it works like a charm. It even works with our Nest AC unit so I can literally change the temperature while sleeping under the covers. As I have the unit on the side of our bed. We are also a cable free family so I can literally give a voice command for the unit to play my favorite movie on Netflix or YouTube in my bedroom or media room or living room and it will play. The cool thing as well is if I need to pause it I can literally give a voice command to pause the video it will do that as well. It also does a great job of giving weather updates and letting me know of my days calendar plans. We use Apple for our phones and it works pretty good with that as well. I would highly recommend this item to anyone that is looking to make their home a smart home because it does so much more if you have your home wired for things such as dimming lights, changing temperature, etc

I like it. Just being able to ask Google stuff and have music playing on demand (linked up to other Chromecasts in the house) is great. But hopefully it'll get better and we can integrate more things in the near future. The ChromeCast Audio ($25-35 each) was key for me since Amazon Echo can't play in multiple rooms at the same time yet. Love that aspect.

I actually gave this as a gift but did use it myself as well. This is easy to use and really useful even without having smart home items to control. Sound quality is good but not extraordinary but for it's size that should be expected. I also gave an Echo as a gift and it was traded in for a Google Home as soon as the comparison was made.

The speaker is better than the echo and it answers questions better, but I don't like how it requires you to subscribe for music.

We have ours in the kitchen and use it for music, answers our questions which is extremely useful when doing kids homework

I love to have new tech as soon as it comes out - sometimes this means that you have to be patient as it improves over time - this is the case with Google Home. Having seen/used a friends 'Alexa', I was eager to get the Google Home as it looks better and ultimately should link to all my other android/google devices. It's easy to setup and get going, and immediately seems quite functional. Asking it to play music, set a timer, tell you the time or answer a simple question, all work flawlessly and she answers the questions in quite a non-robotic way. The sound is also very good, although it would be great to be able to tweak the bass/treble levels. The issues that I'm currently having is it's compatibility with apps and also how it affects how I use my phone. I actually have 4 Google Home's scattered around the house, so sometimes when I want to use google on my phone, it will pick up my request on google home and won't be able to process it. Also I would love the ability to add notes to Wunderlist using Google Home. I'm sure that there will be more functionality coming soon, and to be honest I haven't really had the time to fully investigate it true limits. For now though, I'm very happy with it, and looking forward to the future.

We love the Google Home. My kids gave it to me for my birthday but I think they use it more than I do. Very easy to set up.

Google assistant is legit. Sound quality is great for such a small speaker. Very useful for keeping track of a busy week.

Home automation seems to really be the future, and boy is it nice. There are starting to be a lot of voice activated companions now a days to help us out with things in our lives. Google Home is a new one to the market. For just coming out around in November, it's very impressive. They are starting to add a few things every now and then, like the recently added Netflix support, which is nice. Although one thing you need to have as well is a Chromecast. While the Chromecast is nice, I would rather just have it be able to control things via bluetooth like speakers, or my ps4 for instance, to be able to run those programs. It does a fantastic job of understanding my voice and you can actually carry a 'conversation' with it as it stores recent questions. Like if you were to ask "How far away is China" and then the next question being "what kind of food do they have there?", it would totally understand the context clues there that you were speaking about China. Which is something Alexa doesnt do. Overall though, that was just some cool things and gripes about it. I love the product, and everything it does, it does very well, but I will hold off on giving it 5 stars until it gets more support and other useful apps like Alexa's 'Skill' system.

Love it , once I hook it up and connect wirelessly it takes less than a minute to set up and program what you want it to do . You can set alarms to wake you up to music or whatever and the best part is you can also add other Google ones in different rooms to play different music in the rooms.

My boyfriend and I got this speaker to complement the mini ones we already have. We wanted something louder to play music on in our main family room. It works fabulously with our Philip Hue lights. We have every room in the house connected. Couldn’t be happier. And we got it while it was on sale. Win win.

Great sound when playing your music, and can answer almost any question you throw at it..plus the built in games are FUN!

I listen to the news while getting ready in the morning and can instantly switch to music without having to use my phone.

The device is small enough to hide and simple enough to set up. Down sides I see are subscriptions required to play utube music. It should search out and play from the free offerings and not force a charge. Yes there are two free services however neither of those allow you to specify a song. As for the weather news and appointment items it works great.

I love using my google home for party tricks jokes and the news update. The more "smart" home devices you have the more it can do.

I bought this on a recommendation of a family member and because it was on sale. At first, I was skeptical because I thought, I can do all this on my phone/laptop. 1 week later, I feel like its a part of my life. It tells me the weather, commute to work, news updates, calendar events, plays music - all with just my voice! It is very responsive, more so than my phone. It even works when the TV speakers are blaring next to it! Great product - I've been telling all my friends to get it.

I like everything Google. My kids enjoy talking to Google. Every night they ask Google to tell a bedtime story for them.

Always been curious about these products, now since using it, I now understand why people like them. Easy to use& set up
