The sound of this is much better than the Alexa in my opinion. Just has a much richer and more bass punch to it. I had both and tested them side-by-side. I love how it connects with the Google Chrome Audio device and I can create a listening group paired with my stereo. Pretty awesome to have tunes all throughout the house and controlled with my voice. One gripe I have with it is that the responses when asking a question come out at whatever the volume level is currently set at. This means that when playing music softly, the responses when asking it a question or telling it a command come back just as softly. Not conducive for across the room commands. You can't hear it. Would be really nice if they could control the volume of music vs the volume of responses independently. Other gripe is around the single Google account issue. Right now, everything is linked to my account, so when my wife or son ask it questions, the responses are more specific to my account such as my tasks, calendar, etc. Overall, I think it's a fantastic device and I'm seriously rooting for Google to take this beyond the Amazon Echo.

By far the best device for anyone to have if they want to get into home automation. Pair it with Samsung SmartThings and you can control the world with your voice. If you have a question the Google Assistant will help you towards your needs. You will reconsider going to school when this can replace your teacher.

I am not super tech savvy. This item was extremely easy to set up and use. Just wished it linked to Amazon music

Great price and nice sound of music but having trouble with it controlling tv that have Google chrome connected.

I love the sound of the speaker, deep bass sound. Responds to my voice well. Connects with no problem at all. Except when I wanted to use it at work it didn't stay connected, so I am guessing that it must have been their wifi settings. Here at home I have no problems at all. So easy to use and set up.

It does exactly what I want it to do. Plays perfect music! The sound is crisp and crystal clear! Love it!

Was easy to set up and works well. Kids love that google will sing to you. They ask it all sorts of questions and it gives great responses. I like that I can control the Phillips hue lights with it and just tell it to play a certain music type and it does. I find myself using it more than I expected.

Works similar to "ok Google" on the phone but has fewer options. Guess they will soon be expanding the database to include lot more features. It has basic features for now and I was more interested in the home automation capability. Seamless integration with Chromecast and I can turn on my TV and play YouTube and other videos with voice commands. Few suggestions for improvements, it would be nice if Google home can support two-way communication I.e when you are away from home and want to talk to someone at home. Kind of scary at times, don't know If it's constantly listening to your conversation to understand your tastes and learn more ??? You can log onto your Google account to see the conversations you had with Google home and it says "private and can be accessed only by you" Will explore more in coming days and update the review

We love the Google Home. Music is clear and loud. Also love being able to get the weather every morning.

Last minute purchase. Cool toy, but just that. A toy. Doubt if I will ever put it to its full potential.

Great deal, picked it up on Black Friday weekend, with free shipping for $99.00 Setup was a breeze and integrates well into a smart home setup. I can now control my media center (TV, Harmony Ultimate, Chromecast Ultra/Audio, Minix U1, DVD player, and Philips Hue lights) all by voice. Money well spent.

Love these Google home products! Easy and fun to use a automation your home and life. Great sound for such a small speaker, and best way to get whole home music without all the expensive wiring, just by placing some in different rooms and creating a speaker group.

I was having the competitor and was a bit annoyed with a few things. Took the chance and bought Google Home when it was on sale and I love it. It blends in nice with my decoration and works perfectly with the samsung hub for home automation. I also have google music subscription so it can play all my music.

I have two Google Homes in the house, one upstairs and one down. Theyre both pairs with my Samsung Smart things and its made it so convenient to not have to turn any lights on or get out of bed to turn them off when I'm about to sleep. Also, playing music at the drop of a shout is very underrated.

The ability of Google Home is limited, that said, it can turn on lights, play music, and give weather and news.

Love my google Home. When you ask it to play music it finds exactly what you are looking for. You can even ask her to turn up or down the volumn. I am amazed by the quality of the speaker. I have it in my kitchen on my desk next to my computer it comes in very handy. It can answer most questions faster then you could google them on a computer. It can even tell you phone numbers. When you ask it the weather it knows you mean for your area unless of course you ask for a different city or State. Though it can't answer all questions she is polite and if she can't answer your question she will respond with a comment such as "I'm sorry I don't understand" "Sorry I don't know how to help with that." She has several responses. You can even tell her Thank you and she will tell you "Your Welcome". She'll even answer some silly questions such as "OK google do you love me?" "Of course you are one of a kind." That is only one of many responses. I worry that someone is going to fall in love with her. LOL Highly recommend it. Best gift I have gotten in awhile.

Love the Google Home. It's still early but the Home has the main features as the Amazon Echo and it's only getting better. The Google Assistant is smarter than Alexa. Works great with Chromecast.

Very easy to use and helpful for reminders, making shopping lists etc. Also works for most of my smart devices.

My wife and kids love using this, specifically for playing songs. It will take a little getting acquainted with all the terminology, but overall, it is very cool. I am hoping more things will be compatible in the near future. I wish it would be able to have bluetooth, or be able to turn on/off a tv. I have a TV/Soundbar that is compatible with the Google Home, so I thought it would work that way, but the response is " I am sorry, I cannot do that yet" so it must be in the works, or future thoughts. Sound quality is pretty good for the speaker. Sometimes it cannot hear me say "Hey Google' when it is playing songs. The amount of time it allows for a delay is kind of short, so sometimes when I am saying Hey google.....Play...." and if I wait too long, it tries to determine something, when I am not quite done saying, or have a moment of "what am I supposed to say again" pause. It happens a decent amount to my 5 year old son, who is trying to figure out what to say. Of course the jokes is something the kids like to hear.
