Good voice activated speaker. Google Home is useful for many things. Easy to set up.

Google play can answer many questions and play music for you with a simple command.

Product is easily set up and very user friendly, only wish speakers had a bit more volume.

We already had and Echo Dot, but thought we'd give this a try. We are very happy we did. It seems to be much faster and more informative. If you have kids, this is great. Our son loves hearing the animal sounds and interactive stories that you can really only do through Google. If we were forced to pick between Amazon Echo and Google Home again, we'd pick the Google Home without hesitating.

Excellent product, stellar sound quality for such a small speaker. AI is constantly improving and is the most secure (only records for 30 secs at a time, listening for the trigger "OK Google" then deletes the past 30 secs). Easier to use in my opinion than Alexa.

I have an echo dot and I like the sound of these. The sound is louder and clearer.

Google Home was very easy to set up and works just fine. It responds to command words and plays Spotify fine. Like being able to cast from Spotify on their phones to Google Home. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase :)

Enjoy the produce for news and music and occasional joke. Unable to figure out how to get Google Home to call my phone upon voice command. Also, gives live update as to commute time, but I have to enter destination address every time ("how long to drive to work?" does not work).

Just bought one for me then 3 more for Christmas gifts. Great quality, good sound.

This is a decent home assistant and a great upgrade over the "puck" style assistants available out there. The microphone on this is great at picking up your voice from across the room to answer your questions. I find it performs better than either the Google Mini or the Google Hub at answering questions and picking up your voice. Sound quality is very good for playing music in the kitchen on a Sunday morning. The Google Home Assistant in general performs better for me than Siri or Alexa. It's able to answer questions more frequently and provide relevant information. I suspect the value in this product has declined as there are updated models now available. However, at the time of purchase it was a great value.

Aside from it's awesome smart abilities, Phillips Hue, Nest, etc. This thing sounds great and has a lot to say. You can learn a million things just by asking! It's a cheaper, and in my opinion, better version of its Amazon counterpart. At its price, you can't go wrong!

I get so much use out of this! It is in our dining room. It supplies music during dinner, tells me about my day in the morning, and answers the kids' questions. It connects to my SmartThings home automation, and gets new features constantly. So much better than Alexa!

We had been beta testers of the original Amazon Echo and have been using it ever since. We picked up the Google Home this past November to see the differences and see how far Google had come in the year since it's initial release. The Speaker is twice the quality of the original Echo, however the microphone array doesn't seem to be as good. When volume is up to 10 on both units, the Echo still captures our voice while the Google Home may require us to yell. I would like some kind of hand remote for situations like that, similar to what the Echo offers. The biggest selling point is that it's 100% tied into my Google account. Want to set a schedule, or reminder, just say it. The Google search engine is still waaaaaaaaaay beyond anything Amazon can do. We do use both in the house and will continue doing so due to the very different uses of both devices.

I'm writing this brief review specifically for those who are not headstrong on buying into the unlimited possibilities of this technology. For me, this was not something I needed; I just wanted it. I don't have other smart home devices, so I'm not utilizing its full capabilities. I can say that I'm not disappointed from what I am getting out of it given my limited use. I basically play music and ask various questions - just to be asking. I haven't been disappointed to date. The only thing I don't like is having to say "Hey Google" every time you want to engage the until. Several folks told me it's not the easiest phrase to roll off of your tongue; however, I really didn't understand what they meant until I found myself saying "Hey Google" over and over. I guess I will eventually get used to it as some point though. Overall ... this is a decent investment (based on my limited usage). It hasn't changed my life, but it is a cool little gadget.

Love Google Home Assistant but I would expect it to answer questions on statistics or current events in current time or updated to at least within the last few years. Subscribed to Google Play and enjoy talk radio. Speaker has great bass. Can change equalizer in your Google Play settings; so that’s good. Fun to ask to play certain songs or stations and it does. No waiting for a “good song to come on.”

The Google Home is a quick response voice activated speaker that takes no time at all to master. Music, weather and other charms make this a worthy competitor to the Amazon Echo if you desire the Google's touch. I have used both, and both are exceedingly clever and easy to use.

I like that google home has more bass sound than the echo. More responsive also.
