Okay Google
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first home assistant, and GHome was my first piece in a 'connected ' home, and it keeps getting smarter. The speaker and Microphone are good quality, and it is very easy to 'cast' audio and control GHome from your phone (Android).

Google Home is GREAT!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality is so good. The assistant is great and really has its compatibility with other smart home products. I have two other Google home minis and playing music in 3 different rooms is awesome. Great product.

its good not great. yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.some functions just aren't the same. radio stations found on tune-in on echo not found on google home tune-in. Different contract? Harmony remote.. supports activities only. The built in speaker is very good and better than most more expensive blue tooth speakers which is great because: NO BLUETOOTH SUPPORT FOR EXTERNAL SPEAKERS. NO HEADPHONE JACK FOR HEADPHONE OR SPEAKERS. You need to chromecast everything to get video and sound to your rec systems or multiple rooms. If you are chromecast fiend you may like this. multiple room broadcast is supported. I'd say if you own Echo.. don't feel bad at all. This version of Google Home lacks enough to make it, Not worthy...yet. Aggravate yourself more when version 2.0 or a cheaper you pick the speaker version comes out and google has implemented more with the api,

Convenient to have
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a great device that has a google assistance built in. I use it to listen to music and control my lights. It is great if you don’t want to get out of bed to turn on/off your light or to play something on your tv.

Works Great For What It Can Currently Do
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes the Google Home is much newer than is the Amazon Echo. I've used both and I prefer how Home interfaces with you but right now Echo does a whole lot more because it has been around longer. I got the Home on the initial release in Nov 16 and I'd have hoped there would have been some significant updates but haven't seen any yet. I only have a Chromecast as a secondary device for it to control in addition to answering my search questions. It is interesting how many times little questions come up that previously you'd just let pass and now you just ask, something like "Hey Google, what's the temperature right now in Green Bay, Wisconsin?" And you have your answer. Also, if it's in a room with a TV and a commercial for it comes on, it has a tendency to start answering the questions being asked in the commercial. :-)

First try of Artificial Intelligence
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought primarily to stream music. Initially used the default Google Play loaded in the device but didn't like the mix of music it played for the artists I requested. I then switched it over to play off of Spotify and am now very pleased with it for playing music in the house. It has very good voice recognition and responds well to requests to play various artists, songs and adjust volume up or down. It has the capability to do many other things but so far have only used it to stream music and play a twenty questions game. From my experience Amazon's Alexis is much better at playing the game of twenty questions. Will have to try some of the other games to see if they are any better. If you're interested in games I'd go with Alexis but for music I'm very happy with Google home.

Fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesn’t do much except play music. Decent sound , only plays random stations like pandora unless you pay for premium . Always defaults to MPR when I ask for news. Obeys any voice regardless of who set it up , so everyone changes the music. Extras for lights and thermostat are expensive.

Excellent smart home device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really enjoying my Google Home. Being able to ask questions, get information, and request videos cast to TV (via Chromecast) with voice commands is terrific. Hint: ask your Home "Who you gonna call?" And ask more than once...

Great product, but now redundant?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great product that offers a natural speaking digital assistant experience and hides away well in a room. It may be a bit redundant now, as the Google Home Mini offers virtually all the same features and the Google Home Max offers the better audio quality. Research the home automation capabilities of Amazon's Echo to see what suits you best.
