Google home works just as well as the Amazon echo.

Google home is great. I initially thought it would be gimmicky, but it's been an added value to our household. Music, homework questions, entertainment, everyone uses it. Originally bought 2 for great prices, but returned 1 before fully testing it. Now I wish I kept the other for upstairs. My favorite feature is getting snap shot of traffic for work and calendar invites for the day. I wish it had multiple profiles but I hear that is in the pipeline from Google. Forgot to mention how nice it blends in and the great quality speaker on the unit. Can get some loud sound when home alone or nice subtle noise when entertaining. All-in-all, one of my favorite purchases for the family and looking forward to it's evolution over time.

I like the size of this google assistant better than the smaller one. The sound is much better and the shape of the assistant is more fun - almost like an art piece!

Want something to call for me when I didn’t have my phone

Bought this smart speaker since it was on sale. I had seen several commercials about it so I thought it would be a great addition to my household. I see the potential when you hook up other household items to Bluetooth technology. Currently use it to ask questions I need a quick answer to. Price was right so I am satisfied overall.

Nice appearance. Compact size. Easy to set up and use. I have it controlling some lamps now, and will add more devices later. I use it to check for time, weather, news, calendar appointments, and more.

Minimal setup for this gem of a product. I have not found a question it can not answer. When used as a speaker it fills a room nicely. Tapping into its home automation functions makes it almost perfect.

Google home is a voice activated AI device assistant, it can do everything from telling you about the day's weather forecast to streaming video and turning off the lights. it can pull in music from YouTube Music, Spotify, Pandora, Google Play Music, and Tunein. the sound is richer and the bass is more balanced, and its pretty good in a hall room or kitchen. Just say “OK Google,” and Home will be ready to respond.t can tie into devices made by Google (Nest and Chromecast), Philips, and Samsung SmartThings. Home is also used to control Chromecasts as well, if you have one of Google’s streaming devices plugged into a TV and on the same wifi network, you should be able to ask Home to play a YouTube clip on your TV. it works perfectly.

I was between a Google Home and Alexa and after reading various reviews I decided to go with a Google Home. I went with Google due to the fact that we also have google home products such as nest thermostat and love that you can sync everything through your phone. Google home is very responsive when I ask questions. There are a few features it lacks such as being able to respond to text messages or make calls but I feel that is something they can improve in the future. My only complaint is that you cannot sync Bluetooth speakers with Google home to create multiroom playback unless you purchase a Chromecast audio .

Already a Google devotee, but really impressed with Home device speed and ease. Also impressed with the sound quality considering the size. Blends in nicely with decor, love not having physical buttons.

I am an owner of multiple amazon echo devices and had to buy a google home device to compare capabilities. While the Google home device does not have the smart home connectivity that alexa does, it answers almost any question I put to it, plays mad libs, and can even tell jokes. Its sound is just as good as alexa and much better than the dot for playing music. It can tell you when plane flights are scheduled, phone numbers of establishments, weather, and even give you any fact that can be found on wikipedia, all by just the initial setup. While Alexa may have multiple skills, they all need to be enabled separately and many still do not work as advertised. I am very please with this purchase and recommend it to anyone looking for answers.
