Just as good as competitor model at less cost. Great & better speaker than similar competitor. And is compatible with Android and iOS operating systems. This plus cost are main reasons for my purchase.

It works better than Amazon Echo and way better than Siri. The speaker is much better than I expected it to be, and pair it with Google Chromecast Audio, and you get a good whole home speaker system.

a lot of potential with future updates but even now it's a very fun/easy/convenient way to get answers conversational with a piece of technology. Sound quality when playing music is surprisingly good

The google home assistant has access to the largest search engine and many other applications that provide music, news, home control, and schedule management. It is easy to use and fun to use as well.

My husband and I have one and we just love it! So, we bought one for my parents for Christmas and they love it too! It's so extremely useful from asking it random facts you want to know about, to listening to your favorite music, to calling a restaurant/store, etc. The sound is fantastic! And it learns the more you talk to it and ask it questions. It's especially helpful for my parents that are older because all they have to do is ask it something, call someone, etc. Plus, its compatible with certain security systems if you're needing that. Not to mention managing other household items like lights, etc. I highly recommend it!

We LOVE our Google Home! We also subscribed to Google Music and love that we have access to almost any song. We use this thing all the time as it is very handy from an alarm clock, to checking the weather, to fun facts and everything in between. We also got an Amazon Echo Dot and the Google Home blows it out of the water! Conversations are much more intuitive and realistic and the Echo has misunderstood us more than half the time. We have had no issues with Google home and are excited for all future enhancements. We've also showed both the Google Home and the Amazon Echo Dot to family members and everyone was impressed with the Google Home. Since this purchase, we've already bought another one!

The google home is great, I bought one the day before thanksgiving, and ended up going back on Black Friday specifically to purchase a second one. My wife loves it so it gets the Spouse Approval Factor in our household which rarely happens. and my 5 year old daughter has no problem using it as well, she can turn our lights and tv's on (our tv's have chromecast, and we have smartthings controlling all the lights in our house) I have also configured IFTTT to send messages when she tells it to "tell mom & dad ....." it sends us text messages with what she said. Every household should have one, 1 does my entire downstairs and the other does my entire upstairs. Also the speaker quality is great.

It's been quite a few weeks but the idea of lights turning off, turning on my TV, locking my door, setting my thermostat, creating my grocery list, getting sports updates, all through my voice is just magical! That feeling of "awesomeness" just doesn't go away. This beats Alexa on search prowess and responsiveness. And I am someone who already uses Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Keep, and Spotify for music - which makes this a better bet than Amazon Alexa. To be fair, Compared to Alexa this is fairly limited in the 3rd party smart home products it is compatible with out of the box. However, I also happen to own a SmartThings hub which easily connects my entire home to the Google Home.

I bought the Google Home for my parents after reading reviews comparing the Echo and the Home. I selected the Home because the Echo is really targeted more at sales of Amazon products and services currently. The Home is more like the Google app on your phone. It can answer an array of various questions, play music, tell you the weather, etc. My folks absolutely love it. The highlight for them has been the free trail of You Tube Red. I hesitated to even set it up for them since I wasn't sure they'd really use it but after getting set up it's their favorite feature. The sound is remarkably good from such a small unit as well. The Google Home was the biggest hit of all of the Christmas presents.

this was free with purchase of my major appliances. However, I didn't really need it and it prompted my husband to buy several smart lights and additional google home for the other side of the house. so it ended up costing a lot. However, having smart lights has turned out to be a huge convenience.

I have had this up and running for a couple days now. Easy setup, and if you already use google assistant you know what it can do. I also use it with Phillps Hue lighting and works flawlessly.

When I first bought my Google Home I was sure I'd be using it all the time to play music and stuff like that. To be honest, even though it's good at playing music that is not what I use it for mostly. Actually I rarely listen to music through it. However it's used daily to control my LifX light. Every morning I use it to check the weather and my commute to work. And if I'm really lazy and don't want to grab my phone I'll even get my sports scores. All from simple voice commands that it is pretty reliable at recognizing. I would 100% buy this again if anything happened to the one I have now. I don't consider this a "MUST HAVE" item.. .but I don't want to lose mine!

Great device!. Great experience since open the box, easy to be setup and fair sound. Only pain point will be need to say "ok, google" every time but that is not device fault.

I love our Google Home. Use it to play music from playlists, make my shopping list which appears on my phone on the app, and answers lots of questions I have. So easy to use!

I absolutely love Google Now on my Android phone. I expected Google Home (this guy) to be almost the same, and it is, but for some reason Home's answers aren't as complete as those on Google Now. They're good, but not as good. I also have an Echo (Alexa); Google Home has answers for a lot of questions that stump Alexa, but, unexpectedly, Alexa gives more complete answers from time to time. I don't currently use Home to control any appliances except for a Chromecast. It is pretty neat to tell Home to play a Youtube video "on TV" and have the TV automatically switch the source to the Chromecast and play the video. Google also gives you 6 months of free music from Youtube Red. I like this product a lot, but it's not perfect.

I wanted to try Amazons version but my husband and I just do not use all the hub bub it comes with. We won't order pizza or call for car service, etc. We wanted to try something that will DO things but not ALL of the things these so called "millennials" use. Now, we are not old by any means, but we just wanted something that we can use and love without all of the apps that would definitely not be used. I am extremely excited to have Google Home in my home and can't wait for all of the new things it will bring to my home! Google Home is so easy to use and set up! It's basically plug in and use. All you do is follow the extremely simple directions and 1,2,3 your whole home is connected! LOVE!!

It's pretty cool how I can walk in to my room and have the Google home pull Netflix up and start a show. It works very well with YouTube music and can control it through my sound bar while I'm playing games. Can't pull up specific episodes of shows, hence the four star, but will at least pull it up on the tv.

So great! The google home was very simple to set up using the app. I was afraid it would not work with iPhone, but it works great! The speakers are great on it as well, can't beat the price!

I bought a second one for the kitchen. Replaced a Bluetooth speaker. Love that it's always on and ready! Such great functionality. Chromecast audio, phone, and digital assistant all in one.
