This home unit is fantastic. It was super easy to set up and start using. The sound is amazing for such a small unit. I paired it with the Phillips Hue lights and can control several rooms. You can set timers for when your traveling. Next I'm going to pair it with the Next thermostat. Awesome.

The Google home is a great product and sounds spectacular. I would highly recommend you have a subscription to a music plan (spotify, for example) to make it really worthwhile. My kids love asking it questions and playing the trivia and family games on it. I use it to control my smart home.

If you have an Android TV it is def worth buying this. I bought a Sony TV and it syncs right up !! And my tv upstairs isn't a smart TV but I bought a Chromecast plugged it in so now I can control my TV upstairs from downstairs if need be. I'm about to buy a stereo receiver w/WiFi so I can control THAT with Google home. Speaker isn't that bad either, now it's not a Bose or Polk speaker but still sounds good !! Lastly, I want to mention this is GREAT for people with disabilities once everything is connected to it it's as easy as saying ok Google turn on living room lights. Way better than Alexa in my honest opinion cuz I have a friend that bought that. Anyhow if ur disabled or just like new technology, I would HIGHLY recommend if u have a bigger home u can get the home mini's now too

We have had our Google Home for a couple weeks now and it has been great. It is still learning so there are a few glitches but for the most part it has been a nice addition to our smart home products. The sound quality when playing music is fine and its ability to understand my commands is improving.

I wanted an easy to set up and use. The was very simple and I prefer the Google Home to Amazon Alexa specifically because Home uses Google where Amazon uses Bing. This is a huge deal with me. Speakers are awesome and my wife is hooked. May now have ot add more to different rooms.

The Google home works perfect, easy to setup and connect with my other wemo devices. My kids have a blast playing musical chairs, freeze dance and listening to music. It is so helpful with setting alarms and calendar reminders we literally operate our home hands free. It is great

Nice design. It looks really good in my minimalist themed bedroom. I found my life easier everyday. This little guy is a help. I realized that it’s actually what I’ve been waiting for. The price is reasonable. It’s one of the best speaker out in the market but still far from perfection.

I recently added a second Google Home to my Smart Home lineup. This device sounds better and works better than the smaller Google Home Mini for larger areas such as living areas or kitchens. Compatible with more and more devices, especially with the IFTT collaboration.

I have bought two of these, one for my room and one for the living room/kitchen, I can listen music ask questions, even my kids play with it. Very responsive I have Hue phillips lights connected it works everything. It control my vizo smartcast tv and samsung connected with chromecast. Seriously the best purchase of all. It replaces portable speakers and once you go voice comands to launch your favorite music, videos, turn lights on/off there is not going back. For the price it has 5 stars, there is some flaws because you can get mote than one user, so cannot read email or send texts yet but I'm sure it will get fixed over time

Google Home offers a more in depth internet research capability, as you would expect, with the Google Search Engine Access. Here is a summary of Pro's & Con's that I observed: Google Home Pro's: 1- In depth internet search 2- Accessory color scheme available to customize appearance 3- Closest Google Home answers, unlike Amazon Echo, where ALL devices answer that hear you from various rooms 4- Cost advantage. Google Home has a lower price point than Amazon Echo. Cannot compare with Amazon Dot, as it does not have the powerful internal amp & speakers 5- Google Home is more interactive; after answering a question, if you ask a related question, Google Home can continue as though in a conversation 6- Google Account integration is a distinct advantage Google Home Con's: 1- Sound is very good, but clearly less bass than Alexa delivers 2- Far fewer Home Automation devices respond to Google Home. Alexa has a huge head start & networks with many devices. Google Home has a lot of catching up to do! 3- Fewer far field microphones (3 compared with Alexis' 7) work fine, but when compared, Alexis wins this point 4- Far fewer "skills" than Amazon Echo. Each device is increasing the number of skills, but Google is behind for now 5- Amazon Prime offers over 1,000,000 free songs to Prime members & holds the advantage for music access for Amazon Prime members 6- Amazon Echo can easily order, review & track Amazon orders - a disadvantage for Google Home Which to buy? BOTH!! They are both a blast & are awesome to have around!!

First off the sound is pretty good considering the price. Setup is pretty easy. The app isn't the prettiest thing in the world, but it's functional once you figure out where everything is. Voice commands for our lights and thermostat make it like we're living in the future!

The Google Home seems to be a pretty good product so far. The sound is very good at the price point and it was very easy setup for us newbies to this technology. I havent used it with lights or tv yet but plan on trying those features out in the near future.

Works great, especially if you have an android phone. I'm able to use my phone or the google home speaker to control my Logitech Hub devices, and play music. Has a hard time recognizing the hot word when my kids try to use it, but it works for adults easily.

I purchased another Google Home so I can have one inside and one outside. It is one of the best inventions that Google has come out with. Google Home plays my music and tells me the weather and any question that I ask . Speaker is amazing. Highly recommend.

I had both the Google Home and Amazon Echo for about a week, comparing the two. At first I thought I would return the Home, and came close to packing it up. But ultimately it won me over and I returned the Echo. My purpose for this product was to have a speaker in the kitchen for playing music, and to have an "oracle" present for my young daughter to ask questions. Music - this one is going to depend on personal preference quite a bit, as well as the placement of the speaker. I found that the Home did best when placed up against a wall near a corner, with cabinets above it. The sound resonated from there and projected out really well, giving a remarkable presence for such a small speaker. The Home is geared toward bass and is lacking in treble. The Echo has almost no bass and is ALL mid-range and treble. The Echo did better when placed out into a room where the sound could project in all directions. That didn't work for a kitchen placement. The Echo does get a bit louder without distorting. Music can be played on the Home by "casting' it over wi-fi from any app that supports Google Chromecast. The Echo has bluetooth so it can play music from any source, but bluetooth is trickier to connect to than casting. Since my entire music library is hosted for free on Google Play Music, being able to easily cast it to the Home turned out to be better than connecting to the Echo via bluetooth. One feature Google has over the Echo also sold me - tapping the top of the Home pauses and resumes the music. On the Echo I always had to shout out "Alexa, pause." Intelligence - first, both the Home and Echo are great products, but the Home has Google behind it while the Echo has to depend on Bing and Wikipedia. Google can answer literally any question, phrased almost any way. The Echo was much pickier about how things were asked, and it was far less "conversational." The Echo was also quite stupid compared to the Home, unable to answer anything more than basic questions. My daughter can ask the Home just about anything, and it understands her and responds appropriately. Other considerations: if you buy a Home, you can get a Chromecast for an extra 15 bucks now. That enables some cool abilities: say "Google, play The Crown on Netflix on the big TV," and in a few seconds the show is playing on the TV. Say "show me my pictures of New York City" and the Home will almost instantly locate every photo taken in NYC on Google Photos and begin a slide show on the TV. Google is smart. The Home is half the size of the Echo and looks better in my opinion. I bought a purple base for the Home when they were half price, thrilling my daughter. The Echo has been out for a couple of years, the Home for only 3 months. If Google continues to develop it I think eventually it will greatly exceed what Amazon can do. Other than the Chromecast, I have no home automation and did not buy the product for that. If home automation is your goal, read some reviews and you may find the Echo is better for you.

It’s very entertains to ask questions. Lots of possibilities, works well with controlling my HUE lights. I use this with my Harmony Elite remote and it controls my home theater system. I’m still learning all the capabilities of what Google Home can do.

Bought as a Christmas gift. Has great sound. Compatible with many of the same amazon products. Love the shopping list feature. We have a google tv, so it can access the tv without any special plug for the wall. All around fun and helpful device.

The Google home was easy to set up. Besides having fun with it for trivia questions it is a great alarm clock and source of music. The best treat is that I don't have to get out of bed or put on glasses to access it. Speakers are effective too.

I honestly thought I'd hate this, but I'm finding it very helpful and fun to have in the house. The sound quality is great, it was easy to set up, and I'm quickly figuring out how to talk to it. It integrates nicely with my smart lights and TV.

Best Buy has the best price. Google Home is wonderful to use. It answers more questions than the other home assist items. You can’t connect it with a usb to a speaker only by Bluetooth. But with the Google Home it’s so loud you Don’t need too.
