My only complaint about this wonderful Google Home device is that it won't accept requests to set events or set reminders. I don't understand how this feature hasnt been baked in yet. I chose this over the Alexa because of the access to Google's search graph and the natural language processing but there really is no excuse for the lack of a voice command to simply set a reminder or event into my calendar. These are two features Google actively advertises. They have "Google Calendar" & they also have "Google Tasks" Why???? Other than this, it's actually the best low cost speaker i've owned , it's great for listening to the news and it's great for checking the weather.

It works well and can be very convenient, but because it's tied to Google's Android devices, it can be tricky to set up. It's also very, very 'bassy' and sometimes the voice can be hard to understand, sounding muffled. For most people though, the Google Home mini might be a better choice.

I have an Amazon Alexa and decided to get this and see how the 2 work. Each has it own advantages, but Google Home integrates better with my Nest Thermostat. I can say temp to 70 and it will. With Alexa, I have to give it a longer command using the name of the thermostat before it will.

I can tell Google to play music when I am cleaning my house or even ask it to turn my lights on and off. The only down side to the product is if the internet goes out then so does Google.

Smart assistant that can help you with various queries/chores with connected devices. However sound & mic quality can be better. I have an Amazon Echo Dot as well and mic & sound quality is better. I still like Google Home for it's AI and understanding the context better than Echo Dot.

An addition to your household like no other. Quite futuristic -- the way it recognizes your voice, and is able to respond, with spelling, calculations, weather (anywhere in the world), news, facts, sounds, music, games, and virtually infinite information. Not to mention alarms, and greetings. It even sends requested YouTube videos to my TV via Chromecast. Just amazing. You could look many of these things up yourself, on the internet, but this saves so much time. Can't wait until they get voice-activated phone calls working [e.g., "Hey Google, call Dad"] -- something promised (to compete with Amazon) and expected later this year!

I love my Google Home! We have it connected to our lights, and haven't had any issues. I look forward to getting more accessories for it. The speaker is amazing for the size!

Google home tells me what is on my daily calendar, the weather forecast, and how long it will take me to get to work. Easy to set up and loves to play trivia with family members.

I had a Google mini at first but when I found it to be so useful and I saw the bigger version I knew I had to have it. The sound us good and it was easy to setup too.

Music from Spotify Stops randomly Google needs to fix this problem. I know Google Home is still in a early stage I know for a fact they will fix this problem an add more functionality features. Google Home is actually better then Alexa because it has more ways to speak with it like for example Alexa does not know what is a playlist, but Google Home does. I am not going to return this, even tho I did give it 1 star I love this thing I just have to be patient with google fixing these bugs, but I still need to be realistic here is not ready yet.

I found the Google home easy to set up and learn. Compatible with my android phones. Only reason for 4 stars was the accessories that work with the product are quite expensive.

Initially when the google home came to market I thought..."hey that's cool but it can't really be THAT helpful". Now that the price has come down, I finally decided to jump on board with the smart home. This thing is a lot more helpful than I originally thought it would be. From asking about the weather, to playing shows on Netflix and asking for any type of music, this thing is great! In addition to being able to ask almost anything, the speaker in this model is A LOT better than expected. The music quality is far better than most speakers this size with quite an impressive bass response. Highly recommended for just about anyone.

ok i have amazon echo for 6 months now and i wasn't happy with the information it provides, so i decided to give google home a try i used it for few days, i liked the way it looks and it does know more then echo but also its not as smart as google on your phone, i decided to keep echo and return this because the sound on Echo is much better and Echo can be connected to Bluetooth device like your smart phone and the app for Echo is a lot faster, also having amazon prime gives me prime music for free, google home does have free music but its limited and will only play similar songs to what you ask otherwise you have to subscribe to youtube red ( google music)

Our family is switching from Alexa (loved Alexa but don't like Amazon and their growing monopoly) to Google Home. We bought 3 regular and 3 mini for various family. Love it so far. Planning to use it to connect our Google calendars for all our family. Will be very cool.

This little machine is so easy to use. Once your voice is recognized it's a snap. Request your favorite music, ask about traffic and the weather and listen to the answers.

Does ALMOST everything you would want from a digital assistant. I love having a weather report and a rundown of my day available in an instant. Using IFTTT accomplishes many of the other things you'd need (like sending a text or adding an event to your calendar). But there is room for improvement. You should be able to have multiple user's calendars available, be able to add things to your calendar right out of the box without needing to figure out IFTTT, set alarms (this one is a no brainer) and a few other things that the Amazon device can do. I would definitely recommend this item but caution you to be patient and hope Google adds updates frequently.

Our Google Home has become Indispensable, while it does have some faults since it is a cloud based device it rarely ever misses a beat. For it's small size the speaker is great.

Its a good speaker but I'm disappointed on the size and level of sound of it. There are other speakers with the Google assistant built in that are bigger and sound better for the same price. Don't get me wrong the sound isn't bad, but lower than expected. I had a UE speaker i bought for 70 and it sounds like twice as loud as this. Great features, helpful assistant and more. I heard some people say the speaker wasn't responsive but it is. Biggest recommendation is buy it on sale. I got it half off. Overall not disappointed for that price.

Google will answer almost any question you might need an answer for. Great speaker but Amazon Echo seems to have access to more song titles. I would not be without Google Home.

Love the convienence that the Google Home offers. I have Chromecasts, Nests and light bulbs and I love how I can control them all from Home all with my voice!! So awesome!
