I Think It Is Great.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality was quite surprising. The ability to connect multiple Google accounts and voice recognition for each account is impressive. The search ability is second to none. Paired with the Chrome Audio it makes a nice whole house or multi-room sound system.

A work in progress!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My daughter requested this purchase to replace "Alexa" for two key reasons - Internet search and follow up questioning. To this extent, we are generally pleased. However, we quickly discovered that many common "Alexa" tasks we were accustomed to, were not available (e.g. "Play bed time music"). In the end, the selling point on keeping "Home" was the ability to turn off the alarm via voice command - still not sure this is a good thing! As a result, "Alexa" has returned and we're using BOTH and adapting usage based on the strength or weakness of each. I suggest doing heavy research on what's important to you prior to purchasing or buy both!

Amazing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as a gift for my dad who really wanted one. As soon as he opened the gift he was playing around with it for hours. It synced up nicely to our tv and his phone. He's always talking to google all throughout the apartment and hasn't had a problem at all.

Excellence
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the sound - high bass and it uses the Google Assistant - the same as my phone (Google's Pixel XL). I can't wait to see what Google has in store for us in the future!

Still improving but great for now
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Obviously Amazon Echo has been out longer and has way more 3rd party partners, but this is Google so I have no doubt that they will surpass Amazon in the near future. Plus, Google Home is powered by the search knowledge of Google, which Amazon simply cannot compete with. For now, this thing can play any song on demand, read you the news, turn off/on lights, answer questions, add stuff to your shopping list, etc. It's a little annoying that it can't add/delete things on your Gmail calendar or read your Gmail emails...but I expect that they're working on that. Anyway, I love this thing so far and it can only get better.

Keeps Getting Better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got one of these smart speaker since it was release a year ago. Over the past year, it almost feels like I have a different product. Google keeps expanding and updating the capabilities. As it improves, it convinces me to buy more to buy to put around the house.

Good but room for improvement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have echo and Google home. I could compare for hours. Bottom line is Google home is better for commands with your lights (i.e. Phillips hue).echo is a better speaker and hears better most of the time but not always. Echo/Alexa have WAY more integrations available to third party devices and services. Google really needs to catch up desperately here. Good also doesn't even fully utlize the Google ecosystem which could be it's biggest advantage. I think if Google puts the money behind this that they should, they'll easily catch up and beat echo but echo and Alexa are far ahead in many areas now. I still love the Google home though.

Very good introduction into IOT
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried the Amazon Echo and Google Home. Both are very nice but I chose the Google Home because of the available audio cast device. I have a high-end stereo and connect to the Google Audio Cast with a 1/8 inch to RCA cable. Now I can tell the Google home to play music through my stereo; I can even control volume by voice command. The Home is better at understanding normal speech than the Echo and is more intelligent. The echo has good sound, a better mic setup and if you're a prime member there music subscription services is very compelling. I am happy with my Google Home choice but also believe the Amazon Echo is a great product.

Great for home automation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Google Home is a great device for home automation. I control my lights, my thermostat, and even a couple other things with just my voice. Also fun games you can play with the google Home. I love that I can pair my phone to it and it works as a Bluetooth speaker.

Like it, but wish it had a few more features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The family really likes this unit and mostly uses it for music. Sound quality is surprisingly good. I wish it worked with a few more utilities. Hopefully it will get there soon.

It's a fun toy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Google Home is a fun toy to have in the living room. It plays music on demand, I can ask it about the weather and add items to a shopping list. It's Google so you can ask it random questions about whatever pops into your head. It's still young and there are some things it can't do like add events to your calendar and you'll hear "Sorry, I don't know how to help with that yet." more often than I think you should. It will get better with time and it's fun to have around none the less. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes the idea of a voice assistant, just keep in mind the limitations and know it will get better with time.

Google Home is beginning run my home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Google home in my family room is beginning to integrate with my home. It is not only the hub for our information, it runs our living room, family room and dining room lights. It play our Pandora music with a simple command. The Google assistant, which is the brains behind the Google Home, has some learning to do, but it is getting better with each upgrade. It is easy to set-up and works well. It can hear us when we are in our living room, family room and dining room. Hit and miss in the kitchen, but that is still impressive. If you have the speakers at full volume Google Home can not hear you.

Google Home to control my lights
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a google home for a year and did some typical questions with it and check temperature. But now that I bought the Philips Hue Lights I am using it so much more to control my lights. I went out and bought two more to have full control throughout the house.

Potential
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far my I've used this more as a novelty item but I think it has great potential. The voice recognition is great and responds from various locations in the house. The calendar function only works with the Google calendar and items you put directly into the Google calendar (i.e. even though i have my outlook calendar sync with my Google calendar, it does not acknowledge those items. The time function is great especially when cooking and you have multiple items going. Pandora works great on it as well as TuneIn. I feel overtime Google will continue to upgrade and add functions so i am looking forward to the potential this product has.
