Took very little time to set up. Limited integrations with other tech but on the way to include more since all cloud based. Sounds well too.

I really do enjoy this product. I bought the Hue lights with the google home so I could have the option to speak to the google home and turn on/off my lights. Sometimes the google home has trouble understanding what you are saying.

I had an Amazon Echo and I liked it very much but, it's main use was as a kitchen timer. Alexa's biggest drawback was she was not very smart. If you asked her a complex question she would say she did not know what you were talking about and you had to go to her app and there would be the answer to your question. Google is much better at providing useful information but, I cannot listen to my audible books easily anymore and in general Alexa is better at very simple tasks. I'm glad I got a google home, it is meeting my expectations.

bought the google home for my wife on christmas and we have really enjoyed it. She linked it with her gmail account and can check email, add things to her calender etc just by asking google. It is great for weather and traffic as well. Still needs some development as it doesn't understand every question you ask but we are always getting emails about new things they have come up with for it. The only other negative thing is that you can only link it with one gmail account so if ultiple people in the house are using it, they can't all use every feature.

If you are even moderately invested in the Google ecosystem and use more than 2 or 3 services (Google calendar, YouTub, android, Gmail?!) then you owe it to yourself to consider this unit. I was skeptical as I'm an iOS guy and while I do use many google services, I don't consider myself a fanboy. iOS's virtual assistant is garbage and they don't have a smart speaker. So I was an Alexa fan and have 3 echos. However the google home won me over with solid, simple integrations and casting. Can't go wrong if you want voice control.

Sometimes it has a hard time hearing me. I haven’t been able how to get it to make calls as it always says i need to verify my voice even though I have. Sound quality is great though!

This is a very Good thing that Google has made the only bad thing is it says you need to join the Google account and pay for it you need to be a Google member to do certain things with it and with with that they charge you

Google home is a product I've always been looking forward to having since it dropped to 130 for 2, I bought it right away. It has all the google assistant features on an android phone and it has an awesome response range.

I am pleased with Google Home and I'm looking to learn more things about what it can and will do. As apps and new commands are added to the device, I look forward to more things it can do. I look being able to play music and liked the six months of youtube red which is part of the purchase. Be careful. You will find yourself buying and adding IOT devices for the next thing or can do. I have already purchased three new Google Chrome Audios, three Philips Hue colored lights and two new speakers. You might find yourself possessed to keep adding things.

Works great. I have setup IFTTT to control dozens of devices with custom commands. Google Home and Samsung SmartThings are the Ying and Yang combo to make your home, truly a smart home. As an example, I have setup a command to say, "ok google, the kids are home" and that will turn on the tv, set it to HDMI 1, turn on my u-verse, and set it to Disney JR., turn on my sound bar, and turn on the living room light. I can then say, "ok google, time to go to bed" and it will turn everything I just mentioned off. Yeah, just like that.

Worth it for the speaker and audio alone, but comes with so much more -- reminders, answers all questions. It's another family member now.

Quite convenient around the house, especially as a smart speaker and the calling function. However, it still feels "beta" and doesn't understand a lot of commands. I wish more IFFT commands were incorporated into the basic set up

Google home offer free access to music, which Amazon echo/dot requires you to sign up for amazon music or pandora, etc. Only tuneIn news radio is free on Amazon echo/dot. I puchased both Google home and Amazon dot. Google home's sound effect very good, however, Amazon dot offers you connection to my booksheft speaker. Amazon dot allows you to connect bluetooth devices, while Google support Wifi only. I think it's due to their design thought are totally different. On tech side, Google's voice recognition performs better on voice search.

I rented a small furnished cabin from a lady while I was in North Carolina. She had one hooked up and left a note with basic info on how to operate it! As it turns out my daughter and I had a blast with it. We played music, got it to tell jokes, tried to stump it with spelling questions, I mean we had a ball with it! I now have one in my own home and it will never leave! I only think it is a little weird that it is a female voice and it is hailed by saying Hey Google! Google is not a very girly sounding name lol!

Bought this for my elderly Parents. Setup was simple. Stold the show at Christmas. Music quality surprisingly good. Ask it anything ng:)

Easy set up and can hear your request from far away. Answers questions fast. The time count down is great and the alarm works very good.

Good looking device, good sound, good for small space. Easy set up. Helpful and intuitive. Cant wait until compatible with more services.
