The Google Assistant is fantastic with its contextual capabilities. You can ask one question, then another. Almost, as if having a conversation with it. Both Siri and Alexa can't do that. Technologically, google is far ahead but as a late comer to the smart home they don't have as many companies that support them. This is rapidly changing so in the near future, it will be a mute point. I say this device is a better deal than the Amazon Echo and Apple has yet to release its smart home speaker.

The Google Home device is an easy way to help you with life's everyday mundane things. It is easy to set up and the app gives you multiple ideas on what you can use it for. I enjoy setting timers, listening to music, making phone calls or just asking questions that come to mind. I would give it an extra star but I have had some trouble getting it to send directions or other info to my phone like it is supposed to. Also there is no intercom system yet only broadcasting messages.

I like the voice assistant features of google home. Google's search is great but the speaker leaves a bit to be satisfied. Also, I'm not a fan of the design. While it looks premium, it lacks a certain flair.

I have both the Amazon Echo and the Google Home. The Google Home will not let me listen to my SiriusXM stations but Echo will. I guess both are adding capabilities every day. It’s fun to have both.

My parents received a Google Home for Christmas and I liked it so much I bought one too. I have linked Spotify with it and can listen to my music at any time and it sounds amazing considering its size and price. I love being able to ask it questions and get answers without having to look something up. Of course now I want to get one for every room and start using them to control lights, my TV and thousands of other devices with just my voice. Totally worth it.

Home is Google's answer to the Amazon Echo and so can do similar things like control compatible smart home appliances and get you the weather. It's ability is pretty limited right now but with more and more apps and services coming online the product will gain some needed functionality in the future and that's where the potential lies with this product. If you're comfortable with that idea and have already been assimilated into Google's collective then this will probably serve you well into the future.

Tried the Alexa and returned it due to lack of knowledge when asking questions. The Google Home has far surpassed my expectations and the google assistant app is a great addition. Highly Recommend.

For such a small size it has great sound. We actually bought another one and a mini for our bedroom.

I enjoy using this to play music throughout the house and to control other google home items such as my lights

I mostly use the google home for controlling my Nest Thermostat. I think it is going to be even more useful once we add for Nest Products. The one thing that doesn’t work with google home is my Apple Music.

Google Home is in a household that also has the Amazon Alexa devices. So I can compare the two with some degree of familiarity. Google sounds surprisingly good far its size and of course it's information comes from Google so some queries are actually more accurate and detailed than the Amazon units. It doesn't have quite the support for home automation yet, but I know that is very likely to follow soon. If you have an Amazon Music account, maybe the echo might be a better choice.

This Google assistant speaker is loud and it hears my voice great even with the television volume is very loud to hear my commands. I have one behind the television right next to Samsung bluetooth sound bar with wireless subwoofer speakers. Google assistant is the best smart assistant to buy period. All the built in features are unbelievable and once you get one you can't live without it. Buy it and you'll find it to be amazing.

I love my Google Home, it is one of three I've purchased to put throughout my house. It's perfect for our needs with multiple family members able to interact with their personal preferences, etc.

First let's be real, it's Google. You know what I mean. But it's still an infant so she can be really frustrating at times. She doesn't want to listen. Other times I am speaking a foreign language in her mind. But when she is being a good girl, she does it well. I think the issue is we don't speak the same language yet. And that is going to take time. I would recommend it to someone, but would also remind them that you have to train her like a puppy, and no don't spray her with water if she is bad.

Has good sound for music. Setup was easy-ish. Spotify app works great, Tun-in app not so much. Settings were hard to find.

I already owned an Amazon Echo but decided since I spend most of my time in the Google space I should also have a Google Home. I use both every day - the Echo is in my kitchen/ den and is used by my wife as well; the Home is on my desk and at this point is used only by me. As the Home becomes more sophisticated it might replace the Echo but it's not quite ready at this point in it's development.The good news is that it continues to evolve and is getting better and more useful with time.

It is quite convenient to ask about weather and control lights in the room. Also, it can read news and play the music.

A nice connected device. Sounds very good playing music. Easy setup with the download app. Convenient interface to Chromecast.

The Google Home is great! I can give myself reminders and alarms, play music, create shopping lists, run through a recipe step by step as I need it, get the weather and summarize my day, ask questions, get phone numbers, learn languages, and entertain myself and my daughter. She loves to ask it for animal sounds, jokes and to start trivia games. It's a lot of fun and convenience. I love how in it's own way it also keeps us away from TV more.

Coming from someone who was hesitant about ever getting one of these devices, im glad the one we ended up with was the Google Home. This product is great for someone who doesnt have the convenience of a device infront of them whether its checking the weather, playing music, or randomly asking it questions. I find myself using the google home each day more and more. Sound range is absolutely great for the size of our living room. Thinking about getting one for the other rooms in our home.
