We own both the Amazon Echo and Google Home. We do the exact same things with both and see what happens. The Google Home always achieves our goals best! EXCEPTION: Volume of music not as loud as Echo...

I added this for google play music. It has a good sound and works well with the hue lights.

When I got Google Home it was amazing. I could ask Google for specific songs and it will play it. Google have excellent voice and speech recognition. Whatever you ask Google it will find an answer for it. When I just bought it I had a 3 months free trial of google music. After that you can't ask for a specific song because you will have to pay the google subscription in order to have this function. I would love google to include that free if you have google home. ;)

Decent sound. It works well it tells the difference between voices. Makes home automation easier.

I purchased this after seeing it in action at a friend's house and have it sitting on my desk. I use it to stream music from Pandora, check the weather, and ask various questions. The one issue I ran into was creating appointments in my calendar - turns out that Google Home does not work with G-Suite (but does with free email accounts) which is really incredibly annoying. If you are a G-Suite user you are better off with Alexa, which DOES support G-Suite. Go figure.

This device has tons of potential. Great full sound. Being able to tell it to cast stuff is pretty cool. I also like being able to ask it follow-up questions whereas with the Alexa interface you are definitely more limited. I think that a person probably needs both to be honest if you want to make sure you can control all of your devices and have access to all of your digital content. Currently it lags behind Amazon Alexa as far as features go but more are being developed daily I am told.

This is by far the best speaker I have bought. I was a little reluctant at first because I had never owned a smart speaker but I am glad that i bought this product. Google Assistant is very smart and it is amazing how she can basically read your mind when you ask her questions or to play certain music. The only downfall is i had a hard time playing podcasts the other day but worked fine the next day. I would for sure recommend this product to anyone. It is a must buy!!

The Google home has a great speaker.its the perfect size. I got this for my son and he loves it.

Just amazing. Great sound mic on it reaches all around my house. The google home i was skeptical about getting this because I have bluetooth speakers that just sit around the house that I don't use. From launch day i tried worst comes to worst i could return it if it was gonna be something that i dont use. I ask it everything set timers, play music its great simply amazing....

This turned out to be the best gift item I gave to my nephew and his wife for Christmas. They already had the Amazon competing item (which I didn't know) and love this so much better! They find that music streaming is much better, and the ease for the kids to use is also easier. I received two text messages telling me how much they love this and that I scored 110% this year. That's never happened before. Now I want one.

This product is really functional. Sound is great and voice recognition is amazing. I owned an Amazon Echo previously but traded it for this one. Amazon echo had a tad bit more sound quality, but for the size of the Google Home, the sound is great. Plus, being a google product, it's much more functional, especially if you're a Google user, or android lover. And with it being a google product, the functions Google can bring to this in the future is basically limitless.

As long as you don't mind not adding items to your Amazon shopping cart you really are not missing any features vs. Echo. (Plus this reduces your guests adding silly items to your wishlist in Amazon). Google home is just more advanced, it recognizes your voice and only gives calendar events for you, also blocking others from snooping in on your calendar. far more integrations with smart devices, and if you are a Chromecast household, this is a must have.

I have an amazon alexa in my living room and purchased the home for my room. So far I am very impressed with Google home. While not perfect, the home works great with my thirty plus home automation devices powered by smartthings. I also like the ability to cast videos (netflix/youtube) to my TV without touching my remote. While the sound is not as clear as alexa, home is by far a better listener and better at answering random questions. I would highly recommend this over Alexa any day.

I love my Google Home so far. It doesn't know how to do everything yet, but, it's gaining skills. Once you learn the phrases to cast music or videos over to a certain TV, etc. it's good. I have it in my living room, so while I'm getting ready for work, I can say "What's the weather like today" or "Hey Google, add soup to my list", and it will tell me the forecast, and add soup to my Google Keep list on my phone. I look forward to hooking it up to Smarthome items in the near future.

The sound quality is good. The functionality is pretty basic at this point. You are limited to one account, shopping lists or calendars are only for the account that set it up. I created a home account specifically for this purpose. I have shared the calendar and shopping list from the home account to my personal account. The whole home audio is really nice and works very well. There is some setup involved. Google is working on improvement. I'm excited about it. I would recommend.

Easy to use. The free music library is extensive. The internal speakers are adequate for general music listening.

Love my Google Home, just as an alarm clock is awesome but you have endless posibilities. If you have Nest products is a must have. It will change your thermostat temperature for you. If you have Philips Hue it will turn ur lights on and off. You can set up alarms, ask any kind of question, ask for an Uber, watch trailers or youtube on your tv by just asking, listening to music is just amazing! Will buy another one to keep it everywhere I go in my house!

Very fun and useful gadget. Helps turn on lights, adjust air/heat, play games, know the weather! So cool
