    Geek Squad Needs Better Training

    I called to get someone to come out and give us a quote to mount 2 TV's on the wall. They charged me for a Home Theater In Home Consult. When the Techs got to our home they didn't know what they were there for, spent 5 minutes, didn't measure or inspect anything. They looked at the TV's and said oh yeah you can put those on the wall. They left and didn't give me any costs or how to get the quote. I had to call Best Buy days later and see if there was a quote. The Customer Service person said oh yes that will be $275 each without the mounts or other materials. They could have told me this without coming out to my home and making me rearrange my schedule to wait for the techs. I requested a refund of the fee and got a huge run around that ended with me being told that this was scheduled through the Best Buy Store near me and the Store Manager would be calling me to arrange that. It wasn't scheduled by me through the store it was scheduled over the phone with the Geek Squad supposedly. It has been 11 days since I called and I'm still waiting for the Store Manager to call. I am so done with Best Buy. It's no wonder they are closing so many stores.

    This is a great free service that geek squad provides for their customers and I really suggest it especially if you have safety concerns on how they will hang your tv.

    Only had one issue with timing of appointment. Came out once to install. The second time, I had to wait about 2-3 weeks because appt didn't get on the books earlier.
