No communication/no follow up - and no solution.

Our situation is somewhere complicated/unique so the agents requested time to research a good solution for us. However, despite reaching out to Best Buy and being assured that we would be receiving a response, it has been over a month and we have yet to receive a proposal or any written communication.

I recently saw two gentlemen doing service for a client. As they were leaving I asked them if Geek squad can do in home consults for those who are interested in upgrading WiFi and home theatre now? They replied yes just to call. I then called to schedule an appointment. However was told they can’t come out and do not have any appointments. To call back next year. As they weren’t going to schedule anything. I was disappointed to say the least. As you all are the ones I used before to install everything. And since I was upgrading I wanted some advice. As it was our bedroom and living room. I also wanted to upgrade my wifi to make share the speed and connection were done professionally. I am in the service industry and understand it’s busy . However the gentlewomen on the phone really not interested in even trying to help. Almost as if my buisness wasn’t good enough. And since nothing was available, too bad soo sad. Which I’d expect more. Disappointed. I feel as I’m told to call back others are calling and actually getting appointments. So why was I told to wait to call back until after 1/22?

Whole house tech with Best Buy? Clueless!

We needed our home theatre reconnected after some flood damage, and we bought 2 Harmony remotes which needed programming. The site reviewer said I’d have a quote the next day, but several days later, I still hadn’t gotten anything. I went to the store to complain, and they eventually found the guy’s notes and gave me the quotas. He had included almost $1,700 more in services and product that I didn’t need. When I cut out the unnecessary stuff, the cost was not quite $400! I approved the work and scheduled my appointment for about a week later. The service people had me waiting all day after I took off work, and never called or texted me to tell me they weren’t coming. They were scheduled to come between 12 and 4:30. That night, after literally almost 3 hours on hold, trying to schedule them, they said the guy had had a flat tire around 1 pm, so they had at least 3 hours in which they could have let me know. I went in to the store to complain, and the manager I talked to swore he’d call me the next day by 12 to reschedule. Instead, nobody called, and I got an email re-scheduling the service for the next morning, which I had told them I could NOT do because of work that was being done in our house at that time. Clueless!

We were to have a tech out to explain the computer we bought in Dec 2022. The error was caught the night before the appt. I realized the person was com ing to install something. I called the 800 # talked with someone out of the country, he told me about the mix up, Cancelled the appt etc but answered the main problem I had on the computer. I wondered why I had to measure the space, doorways, etc to get to computer. Thought there had to be problem somewhere. Now I am not sure I want to ask the GEEK Squad about anything locally. Really confusing!!!!! Told the Geek person, we never got any time for training n was interested asking ???s. But the person was no longer working there. So would need to set up appt for a tech to come to our home. Get msg on computer about the appt. Thank you!!

We were furnishing the materials, The basement is unfinished and wide open. We of course we said no, realizing this nice young man had no idea what he was talking about. My 66 year old husband, unwillingly, had it all complete in 1 and 1/2 hours. No help from anyone.

The dust completely covered my electronics and I am worried about long term damage. I also feel the in ceiling speakers were installed too far apart and looking at dolby’s diagram for atmos, they could have been closer and not so spaced out.
