Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, I learned that the store that I purchased the TV at could not take returns to from other stores because they were a design center. I wanted to just look at TV's but found one with a good deal and decided to purchase even though I lived in Wisconsin. The taxes would have been cheaper. I explained to the sales person my set up and he sold me an HDMI cable, TV and cleaning set (comp'd). When I got a reminder call from the Geek Squad, they told me that the appt was set up with the wrong department and that they only did washers and dryers. As a result I had to wait another 2 weeks before someone could come out. From 4 weeks to date of purchase, I finally had someone come out to tell me that they could not hang the tv because I did not have an HDMI outlet on the wall and I would have to hire a contractor and it would cost over $5K. I called a handyman and he came out 2 weeks later and hooked up my TV. I am very disappointed in Best Buy. I have purchased many things there and have not had this type of experience in the past. I will think twice the next time I need to purchase something. Once the sales team closed the deal, they could care a less if I had questions. Very disappointing. Too many sales people standing around to begin with.

Geek Squad was unable to fully install the device.

For example, he was unable to get the Zone 2 speakers to function. I have no complaints about the agent himself, who was cordial and apologetic, but Best Buy/Geek Squad should have assigned an agent who had more experience with the new device. This only adds to my displeasure with Best Buy. I purchased a new TV and related accessories for nearly $3,000 over one month ago, yet after four Geek Squad visits and the need to replace a receiver that was less than two years old (which cost me an additional $250 despite being a Total Tech member), I still do not have a completely operational TV and sound system.

BEST BUY HAS THE WORST SCHEDULING OPERATION

I received an email on Wednesday evening telling me to expect the technician to arrive between 12:30 pm and 4:30 pm. I planned accordingly. At 11:26 am on Thursday (the day of the appointment) I received an email telling me the technician was on his way and would arrive at 11:45 am. I was in a meeting and did not receive this email until after noon. I called the 888 phone number and spoke with a representative who told me the technician had not yet come and was due to arrive at 1:20 pm. I waited until 2:00 pm for his arrival, which never occurred. At 3:06 pm I received an email indicating the technician would arrive at 3:50 pm. At that point I was done with Best Buy and the Geek Squad. Why would you tell me between 12:30 and 4:30 and then email me to tell me it was 11:45? Why did your representative tell me it was 1:20? Why did your technician not answer my return of his multiple calls?

Optical to analog??????
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not going to say all their techs are lacking in the knowledge department, but the one that I got was without a doubt lacking. Other than the fact that the tech just about blew my vintage 25in. Fisher speakers by just trying plug after plug to see what worked and what didn't there was nothing else accomplished. After the tech left nothing was different than it was before he walked in my door, other than the fact my heart was beating 90 mph. They ask at the bottom of this survey, would I recommend them to a friend. it's hard to say yes or no because I don't know how many techs they have working for them to be able to figure the odds of a friend getting the same tech that I received. For to give them the benefit of doubt I'm going to say yes I would recommend.

No Show!

No Show

It took us weeks to make contact with you and when you finally came out it was a quick look around and you said Best Buy would call us…. we have now given up on Best Buy because we haven’t been able to contact anyone ( due to Best Buy only having an 800 number to contact them AND when I try on line contact it says I need to call them) and they don’t return calls. Plus I keep getting emails asking how they did on the installation of our TV and that’s no even what we were asking them to do!! It had nothing to do with TVs. Terrible customer service! Very disappointed with Best Buy & Geek Squad.

Site Survey - a lesson in frustration

I received texts saying they were scheduled to arrive at 2:30am...what? I will be sleeping. I called to clarify and they said the appointment had been cancelled. I didn't cancel it. Further conversation led to the discovery that the site survey was for an entertainment center. I don't have or want an entertainment center. When I went to the store the site survey was arranged for a washer/dryer. I was told on the phone they don't even do site surveys for washers/dryers. At this point I had been on the phone for over an hour and transferred to 3 different "customer service" representatives. My son had a baseball game and I had to go, so I told them it was okay. I would call back and try again. The next morning I got an email saying that a new site survey had been arranged....where do I begin??? It was for a date and time that would not work and it was for an entertainment center, NOT a washer/dryer. It took three calls for me to cancel this appointment that I never agreed to. At this point I still don't have the work done for my washer/dryer as I am bit hesitant to even try. One word summary: Fiasco!!!!

Best. Buy is a lie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had 5 neighbours waiting to view my 77” SONY system, they wanted to feel comfortable if they purchased the tv that as retirees they could operate system and feel comfortable with GEEK SQUAD PERSONAL. Well they never showed after waiting 12 hours What a joke no problem I cancelled my warranty and they contacted COST-Co 3 bought the LG 77” TV I’m so sorry I did not go there in the beginning BEST BUY is a L I E what a disappointment for me over 15 years spent over $10K never again will I go near this DUMP

When the installers actually showed up to connect our surround sound, they could not because the equipment we purchased per the site survey was wrong.

When I returned the call, I was unable talk to the store directly. The call went to corporate and everything stopped at that point. Several calls were made. I gave up, because I don’t have time for the run around.

I had an in home assessment prior to the geek squad arrival. Once arrived, the technician advised me that he could not complete what was promised.

Still Need Measurements

I have had multiple “appointments.” The first time, Caroline called to reschedule. I agreed, she never came. The second guy, came and said Best Buy assigned the wrong rep. Another appointment was scheduled, and I have yet to receive a call about any measurements. Why is it this hard to get Best Buy employees to do their job, so I can GIVE them MY money for THEIR product??? Yet all my appointments are marked in the system as “complete.” Imagine that…
