Quote or no quote?

Only thing is they said they would send me a quote the next day. Never heard from them again until I repeatedly called and got an answer with another guys number out of New Jersey. Left a message but no return. Finally got a response after 10 days and that was that the couldn’t do the job. Be nice to know from the beginning. Wasted 10 days.

Geek Squad Difficulties

The width was fine, but he said the opening was not deep enough. What he overlooked is that the depth dimensions included the oven door and handle, which presents no problem to have them beyond the counter. He did not know the product well enough to be accurate in his judgment. We went ahead with delivery and installation and have no problems with the depth of the opening.

Way Too Hard Working With Geek Squad System

Sales without service is -- worthless

The technical folks were there for the install - did a crappy job the first time, sort of fixed the problems on the second go-round and NOW are nowhere to be found when I call to fix another problem. I wouldn't recommend these people to a dog I didn't like.

Uncustomer Support

After that we waited several days for a quote and never heard from anyone. I finally called "Best Buy" and after twenty-four minutes was finally connected with someone "over there". I wound up getting disconnected and had to repeat the process three times. After a number of transfers I was finally able to get the quote that Best Buy should have taken the initiative to call me with in the first place. Not impressed with this "service".

Poor communication and follow up

We would like to transform our house to a Smart house but unfortunately this was a disappointment with the service and communication.

Site survey for changing from Windows 7 to 10
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Advisor came to my home and noted the connections on my 4 monitor PC. He promised to consult with experts at Minnetonka Best Buy store and get back to me. However, he "dropped the ball" and did not give me promised feedback. A week later, I tried to contact Geek Squad at Minnetonka Best Buy by phone but my calls were not answered despite several attempts. The following day, Sunday 12/8, I went to the store and was referred to the Geek Squad manager who spoke to the advisor over the phone. The advisor promised to call me at home later that day. However, he never called. The Geek Squad manager was kind enough to spend personal time with me and show me the options if I want to replace my setup using all 4 monitors or just 2 monitors. I would rate his performance as a 5 star service!

So sad

Best Buy was unable to install our speakers until March, so we purchased the speakers and went to another mechanic to have them installed, and the speakers fit but not the brackets. So we have had to return the speakers and brackets. We ordered elsewhere. Usually we have had great experiences with Geek Squad (that is why we are Total Tech members) but not this time.

The work was not done and your Geek Squad guys, kept telling me different things which meant more charges. You sent a tech to review the plan and set a price, the 2nd tech comes in and said that 1st tech doesn't know what he is doing so he will have to charge me extra and he is also in a hurry because he will be late for his next appointment. So, I told him that since I'm being told two different things by them, it's best just to cancel the job for now since I don't want a poor job to be done and then, next time I'll be told something different. I have yet to see my refund or cancellation for the service. I'm very disappointed with Best Buy service. Your Geek squad should be seamless, not one tech saying something and another saying something different. I'm really disappointed by the service you provided.

Geek Squad was unprepared for appointment

They offered to set up another appointment with someone who specialized in concealing wires but did not return my messages when I tried to confirm the appointment. I gave up and used a local installer with great results. I previously had great experiences with Geek Squad for car stereo / remote start work so I would continue to recommend them for those.

Greek Squad did not install my speakers

From the beginning of the conversation they did not think they could reach my receiver. I had to explain that there was a void behind the area they needed to reach. To me as professionals you should be able to figure this out. I left them in the attic to go and find them a layout of my home as they stated they needed to measure. They stated they would send me a quote, which i never received. We look up in the ceiling and it is cracked. Went up to the attic and i could see where the foot hit the ceiling. No mention of it from them. Called Bestbuy and they took care of the repair. Installed the speakers myself.

Not impressed

Overall the job was done pretty well; however, they changed something up with the networking. After it was reloaded I had a hard time connecting with the other PCs in my home. I had several calls with geek squad support to get the networking to work and each call had it’s own issues. But the worst part was the never could fix my networking problem. I finally did some googling on my own and fixed it

How are we supposed to buy CCTVs if we are not sure yet how many we need. That is why we requested for site visit. We need your tech's recommendation but nothing and we tried reaching out to your support, but they keep on giving wrong phone number of the tech and email. No one is responding on those contact information.

No follow up for a sale

Was told I would have a quote the next week and they sold me a total tech subscription . No one ever has reached back out after 10 days. Called Geek squad and asked for someone to call me back. No call back 24 hours later. Came to store and have waiting an hour for a manager to let me know who dropped the ball. Manager is on lunch still. I am amazed at the total incompetence.

Misrepresentation of Total Tech plan

Could not purchase the expensive speakers as they could not be installed in the attic. Were told by the tech less expensive speakers could be wired thru the wall to adjoining room. But when the SR Sales consultant was told about getting the cheaper speakers, we were told this wasn’t covered under the plan. We were written off because his commission diminished. Total Tech=Total rip off!!!
