This was a third party. not geek squad

My dog barking let me know he was out there, it was dark outside, He never booted up and tracked dirt inside. I had to ask he if he hooked up my sound system CD. ECT which he did, after I asked him. He left Packing behind after he took the tv out to his van,he told me he would be back for the packing, he got in his van and left.

Terrible

Geek Squad sold me 3 or iOS and installed 2, said they would be back to finish the installation and has never showed. I was just going to install the last one myself and it is actually broken/doesn’t work/never worked. We have called them 3 times and they act like they have no idea what’s going on. Very disappointed!

Lack of follow through!

Made sure we took the time out of the specific day and they called the night before to inform us they don’t measure for wall ovens. We’ve had the geek squad out before for a different thing and it was amazing. But this time Best Buy messed up. I don’t know who specifically whether it was the person who sold us the oven and said it’s best to get it measured or the geek squad guy who called and the night before and said they don’t do that.

iNCOMPETENCE

Repeatedly,scheduling sent me an email the day before changing my appointment time to 12-5pm when I won't be home. After the fourth and final call back and clearing my morning schedule, I told them not to reschedule....ENOUGH !!!

Terrible service

We had already had numerous problems(too many for this review) with our TV. The Geek squad came to fix the problem(our TV was working at the time) but they broke our TV and didn't come back for a week. (We had no TV) Another member of GS came and hooked us up and couldn't get the new TV to work. He said we needed a new HDMI cable. After another WEEK without TV, the 1st GS guy came and told us after he examined the HDMI cable that it wasn't plugged in right on TV. OUTRAGEOUS right! TERRIBLE SERVICE!! I will not buy another TV from Best Buy ever!

Nice guy, no security system experience I wanted!

The Geek Rep in the store also was a total fail...No security system experience & then made me an appointment with a home theater tech! Another Total Fail!!!

Wasted an hour of my life.

Was told the results of the survey would be 4 to 5 days and I would know what kind of equipment to put in my house. Missed 2 good sales to buy equipment but still waiting.

It never happened!

We pay for geek squad protection etc. I received a call from an agent the day before he was to come. He said he was the theatre guy which I needed the computer guy. He said he would have the computer guy call which never happened. I received an automated call from Best Buy which said to log on and reschedule. If I gave my customers automated calls I would not have customers. I tried to call both Best Buy locations near me for almost two hours and I could never get through. I went to staples!!!

Geek Squad installed TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.They took my old TV off the wall hanger and put the new TV on the same hanger. programmed new TV and were out the door in 20 minutes. They said we could use old remote or new new remote. That didn't work. New remote would not shut off Medacom and we get back ground noise on tv programs. We rescheduled to have them come back to fix the problem. second time they said use old remote to start and stop TV. They said they couldn't hear back ground noise and said it must be a mediacom problem and left. We still deal with back ground noise.

Poor Service; Poor Communication

However, we were supposed to receive a summary of recommendations for setting up our system. Eric, the technician said he would send it to us via email by the end of the day. 4 days later and a visit to the Geek Squad at our local store in Springfield, OR have resulted in no such summary/quote being delivered or found. Poor service. Poor Communication. No explanation as to what happened. This does not instill confidence in the services of the Geek Squad.

He did say that the Sonos speakers would need to be mounted on shelvves. I was told that at the store by the sales rep.

Incorrect reason for visit

When corrected, BB indicated that they do not offer that service any longer in my area - hence I am unsure of ARLO / accessories as well as probable need for a wifi booster

Not able to make an appointment

I picked one out, and then that’s where the issues began, I thought that I was making an appointment for service to install the stove top. It took many people and it still never got an appointment made for me. After several attempts l, I just canceled the order. Your sales department didn’t care at all. If this is how you treat customers, you won’t have a company for much longer.

Many phone calls. They had my old phone number, I've given them my new number multiple times. This started in November. 12/30/23 and another rep is supposed to stop over and start from square one. I am not impressed.

When I called Best Buy to ask about this, they could find no record of my site visit, not even the name of the surveyor. "GHOSTED!" I would like the surveyor to get back to me with regard to questions I asked him about the installation.

“Not my job” replaces ping pong ball

We got a call from a fellow who said his order for our visit contained no info. I told him what we were expecting and he said that was a Hkme Theater task. I asked if he would come since he was scheduled to verify that my description was accurate in case I misused terms to describe the task. He would not come.

Geek squad let me down!

Geek squad member inventoried all my best buy equipment that I had bought in the last five years and she told me that she would refer my problem to her team members, who will get back to me in two days. Since I had not heard back after a week I called someone else came in did the same thing, and get me up and running in six hours. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Best Buy geek squad.

Worst Experience Ever

Wrote up a work order for specific items needed to complete my tv & sound bar install. Install tech team never saw or reviewed the write up & no showed 2 appointments. Finally today after 3 hours on phone with geek squad they’ve informed me the cannot provide the services outlined in the site check. My site check was 12/11/20...almost 30 days later & 3 days off work, my TV is still in the box, not on the wall...awful experience; would give zero stars if possible.
