    As far as Geek Squad good they were able to get me in quick to get stuff xfer over but unorganized about the information that is being relayed to customers

    I thought I had made my request clear that I wanted my new Mesh system (router and 2 satellites) hooked up to work with my new Starlink internet. The first technician had not worked on this type of system and did not feel that she was qualified. I told her I couldn't afford to be without the internet for a week so we agreed to wait until a more qualified technician was available. When the more qualified technician came out he felt there should have been two seperate work orders. He said it would be $160 to reset the Starlink router and I should have read the terms & conditions. He said he didn't have enough time to work on it that day and would have to reschedule. After he left I went ahead and reset the router and followed the Netgear and Starlink instructions and got everything up and running. I then cancelled the Geek Squad work order.

    Up until now, I have had great experiences with your Geek Squad techs, but my last experience was terrible. When went to pick up my computer on Nov 28 2021, I asked if we could turn it on so I could see what he had done. He told me no, that I would have to schedule another appointment for him to do that. In all my previous interactions with Geek Squad techs, they always showed me what they had done. This guy told me my new computer was a mirror image of the set up on my old computer so there was no need to turn it on. Not so. Printer not connected, unknown programs left in recycle bin, microsoft office not installed, microsoft word and excel no longer on toolbar (to get to microsoft word, I had to scroll through the entire menu to find it at the very bottom of the list), zoom video not set up, lost all bookmarks (cnn, pbs, libby, netflix), email accounts were formatted differently, even the computer clock was not set to EDT. Took hours working with a neighbor to fix all of this. This guy had no customer service skills and was either lazy or incompetent. I do not believe that I signed the customer satisfaction form and the unsigned copy I was given did not have the name/signature of the agent that worked on my computer.

    Eero has caused me lots of frustration. When the Geek Squad installed it for me, they said I should have no more problems with buffering and not being connected to the internet. Every time I turn on my TV, it says it is not connected to the internet, If I wait sometimes it does get connected but sometimes I have to go through the connection process. Today was the worst day yet. I was trying to watch a show and within that hour it buffered at least 15 times, and about 3-4 times it said it couldn't fix it and to try again later. Very, Very Frustrating!!! Since I purchased my new TV (from Best Buy) a few months ago I've had to puchase a modem and Eero 6. I wonder how many other items I will have to purchase to make watching TV uneventful!!!

    Agent arrived and guessed what was wrong with it. Surmised what parts were needed. Ordered parts and the day before repair called and notified parts weren’t available. Paid for a service that didn’t fix anything.

    Site survey is tricky

    I am very disappointed , my problem related to AVR connections to my existing built in speakers. A gentlemen from Best Buy came to my place and he is a site survivor he said he has no clue about the audio systems and his job is designing the new speakers locations in the house. So he suggested that I need a home consultation not a site survey ! I am back to square one. I texted my point of contact who set this consultation that I need help to fix my issue. She replied, based on the site Survay recommendations here is a proposal of 12k$ worth solution. This answer breaks the circle of trust. You can’t make stuff up to show that you did your job but you actually lost a costumer !!!

    This was rather frustrating. I called in twice for the same issue, had 2 separate people come out for the same issue and have nothing resolved. During the initial phone call, I told the rep what the issue was, gave the equipment details of what I had and when they arrived, they had no idea how to set it up. To make matters worse, I had purchased the system and had Best Buy set it up originally, so they should have known all about it. The 2nd geek squad rep was very nice and followed up on things, but still never heard back from Best Buy on trying to get it resolved. Ended up spending the same amount as another visit to buy a new Mesh system and installing myself.

    Both techs were helpful. I expected my problem to be resolved. They recommended that I purchase a faster USB board and Meta Quest 2 cable. Over $100 more in expenses and I still have the same issue.

    University Best buy Sarasota FL

    The car stereo installer employee named Trace, at the University Best buy in Sarasota, was not helpful at all. After he installed the stereo system he tried to blame a buzzing sound that was coming out of my stereo on my equipment instead of considering that it might have been something he did or simply some component that needs to be added to the stereo system. He said something about my stereo equipment being cheap, ($600 15" Kicker Q class,$400 pioneer 7-in double DIN display,$300 Cerwin Vega amplifier) I don't understand how that's cheap but okay lol. Afterward I took my truck to mad marks stereo installations, and they said I needed a noise filter installed. So they installed the $25 noise filter and it 100% fixed the problem. Please tell Trace not to try to cut down, belittle and blame someone's personal stereo equipment without knowing the facts.

    I hate geek squad, every time I bring in my computer or lab top they can't seem to tell me what's wrong with it. just now I was trying to chat with an agent online waited 30 minutes to be connected to one, told them the problem I'm having with my computer and 10 minutes later they disconnected with me without saying a word, IDK why or if I did something wrong but it stresses me out. I always have some sort of an issue when I come to you guys and I tend to have a bad experience most of the time too. I always try to avoid coming to you guys with any of my computers problems because I know your probably not going to be able to fix it or you're just wasting my time and my patients and at this point, I don't even want to contact you guys anymore or even want to walk into your store with any of my devices because deep down I know you guys aren't going to do anything with it or nothing is going to be resolved and waste another hour of my day. I'm sorry but i do not want anything to do with geek squad ever again.

    Today I returned a product that I had saved for. Well, I had paid cash for it, and the only credit I received was a gift card and not my cash back. I asked questions and the response was, you get return back in cash within 18 days of purchase. That was not said to me. Now I get how Best Buy works. They must receive incentives when people charge on their charge cards, and if you purchase in cash if your 18 days are over, you get a gift card for the amount credited to the customer. Best Buy must really need the money; money must stay within the store. So I am STUCK AND FORCED TO SPEND MY CASH MONEY AT BEST BUY, WHETHER I WANT TO OR NOT. Must warn my family and friends. Very disappointed in them and their employees to not open their mouths in the beginning of cash purchases. It didn't go like that with my charge card purchases.

    after considerable delay in getting the job scheduled, it was completed on time. The personnel were efficient. However they took all the supporting documents. When an adjustment was necessary, I found it necessary to reschedule a second Geek squad appointment.

    The worst the worst the worst, You can just look at all my other reviews from buying to setup to Everything!!! I bought a very expensive TV and a sonos system and I will tell you. I will never get another TV and sound system from Best Buy again, I have never had so many different crews out telling me different things, Why do different ones do things differently? Why would some guys hide the cords and some guys won't? Why Did they know that certain internet systems have to have the sonos sound system hardwired to work? Then they ordered all these things I didn't need, What are total joke? Got to mention over 2 months to get it done

    Not happy with Best Buy insurance contract

    Have had the Geek Squad out to my residence 4 times to correct the problems with my LG tv and LG sound bar. After replacing the entire inside of the tv, the sound bar still does not correctly connect with the tv. Volume continues to cut in and out. Geek Squad has done everything they are instructed to do by their superiors, but that is where the problem lies. After that many visits, you would thing the superiors would just give me a whole new setup. Especially since we have the Best Buy insurance contract and the tv & sound bar is only a year old! Maybe newer since the tv has entirely new components in it within 6 months!

    Worst service experience of my life

    Totally horrible service experience. Took laptop to be repaired. Got a call to call my local store to approve repairs. I called the number and was on hold for 25 minutes. Hung up. Called next day, same thing. I got a call from my store that laptop was ready to be picked up. I arrived at the store and it was not fixed. Was told I did not approve the repairs. I approved the repairs, they sent it back. A few days later I got a call from my store that the laptop was ready for pick up. I arrived and still not repaired because they could not get parts. I spoke to the service manager. She gave me a piece of paper with the store managers email address on and she told me to send her an email. The email came back as not being a good email address.

    Bought appliances in July to have delivered when the house was completed. Had delivery set up for 11-11-20 Got a text confirmation on the 10th for delivery next day after 3 pm we called and they said appliances were on the truck for delivery. 7pm we called again the Geeks said your appliances are not even in this state and would not be available until the 18th of November. Called the store and the manager said he’s was looking right at our appliances and did not know why they were not picked up. This whole process From purchase to delivery has been a crap show!! No one has a clue what’s going on at corporate or in the hotline. Guy on the hotline said since we had so much trouble they would install for free. Needless to say that didn’t happen either WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! If it had not been for the people at the Tulsa store I would have canceled the whole order and went somewhere else. THESE WILL BE THE LAST THINGS WE PURCHASE FROM BEST BUY!!!!
