    Hard to trust many of BB's "customer service" reps

    I just found this review option now. Many efforts to communicate with messages left even never were responded to after a negative unfollowed-through experience with a Home Site Survey some time ago. I called the "store" numerous times requesting a return call from a manager, and no follow-up ever took place. I still have a stereo system with incredible speakers that I can not use because of this neglect. For years, and I NEED resolve. Yes, the technician came to my home as scheduled. However, there was never any follow-through, not even to direct efforts to communicate. I even sent pictures and nothing was responded to. No recommendations how to get my speakers working, or what component upgrade suggestions might be compatible, nothing! It is hard to trust Best Buy, as this happened before with the same tech - no follow-through AT ALL when he specifically asked me to send pictures. And in general, you can never even get someone via phone in your own region. No one in the store, which is quite a long drive away and can not simply be visited. No one ever answers or calls back; and forget about ever getting a manager when things have escalated and an unresolved problem has gone on for waaaaay too long. How many customer service "reps" in one's area (that are not really in your area at all) that pretend to take messages for supervisors or managers but which are never really forwarded at all is astonishing. Even as current as yesterday about a BIG matter. Especially after having to wait exorbitant amounts of time on hold first. Even the chat option with a real person was unpleasant - yesterday FYI. Highly informative person, but aggressively pushing a (very high-cost) sale throughout, or he/she did not want to "chat" further and kept politely threatening to close the chat, which he/she did when the high-cost sale did not happen fast enough. (That huge sale did happen same-day, but not within his/her very short window of time.) Yet, in some areas in the country, one's options are limited and one must tolerate this horrific level of customer "service" that does not even exist. And there is absolutely no resolve or accountibility in those cases. It is consistent on nearly all occasions of the always regrettable need to communicate with the store about a needed product, and always when there is a greivance. I am sorry (only slightly) about this negative review ...but it HAS to be said. This kind of consistent customer service is NOT OK.

    Tech install radio camera front and rear camera. Tech showed how to operate radio and cameras. Tech was excellent on install and knowledge

    I am absolutely thrilled with the 2-person team that was ultimately assigned for my old TV removal, new mount installation, new Samsung S95B installation and connection to my home audio system. This was more laborious and exacting than I ever anticipated. The product reliability insurance that comes with the Total Tech package makes it an outstanding value.

    The agents installed my new TV and got it connected to my server, answering my questions as they worked. I am definitely technologically-deficient, but I am a retired educator and willing and able to learn. I appreciated that they did not "talk down" to me in any way (as did someone with TTS who, in fact, gave me erroneous information, when I had to call about a week later). They were punctual and seemed to work efficiently and well together.

    The Installation for what was done was excellent and quick. I didn't give 5 stars because, I wanted the ceiling speakers installed and was told that they installers were not "certified/qualified" to enter the attic for the ceiling speakers and that would require a reschedule or another trip. I explained all of this prior to this installation so someone dropped the ball here.

    Geek Squad Installed Three TVs

    Geek Squad installed three TVs and ran speaker and HDMI wires through pre-installed Smurf tubes in our new home. They did a great job. They were friendly but professional. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They wanted to make sure everything was working perfectly before they finished.

    Aaron Bloem and Alicia were great. Prior to their arrival that day, our Comcast router stopped working. Aaron fixed this so that the Linksys Wifi extender could work. He configured the Linksys and paired the Verizon cell phone booster as well. Thanks to them, we have Wifi and cell phone service again!! Aaron and Alicia were knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. I never felt rushed. Everything was explained thoroughly. Terrific job!!

    Mr. Gennesy was my Geek Squad representative to install the inwall concealer kit. He did a good job with the install and also showed me how to work my tv functions. Also he adjusted my sound bar the right way to where its uniform or flush with the bottom of the tv.

    Matt & Rob were very professional. Both were wearing their required Covid-19 Masks. My Yamaha Receiver was re-installed and completely tested from top to bottom including ZONE - 2 for my BOSE Outdoor Speakers. Matt & Rob gave me numerous helpful instructions on how to simply use my new LOGITECH Universal Remote Control that I had previously purchased at Best Buy. I am thrilled to have invested in Geek Squad Tech Support. Money $$$ well spent!

    The Squad installed our new home theater and also our outdoor speakers. Installation was tricky and required some new wiring, but they made all of the components work together perfectly. It sounds great!

    Had a site survey with a geek squad technician For a home theater installation. Billy was very knowledgeable and made good suggestions. But the bad part is I never got any follow up call with next steps for the actual installation.

    The Best Buy crew did an excellent job of mounting my StarLink dish and running all the cables to my network room. I have a pretty complex network with 3 ISP’s feeding a large mesh system. The ISP’s are directed by a TP-Link router including an orbi mesh system. I have an dedicated router for the video wall and this group did a very professional job. I would highly recommend total tech support!

    Unfortunately, we didn't learn much from the site survey beyond what we already knew from speaking with the Geek Squad directly. There was also an apparent disconnect between the installers and the site survey team. Some of the things that were promised by the site survey team were never relayed to the installation team such as sealing any exterior holes that were made in the brick during the installation. We were told that the installation team would do that, but they don't. The installation team also informed us that we should use outdoor junction boxes where each speaker is connected, and that we were responsible for providing them. We weren't told that by the site survey team, so we weren't prepared.
