I said it all above. I have nothing else to say about this A.C. except it is doing the job that I hoped it would.

We bought it because of the btu and cooling ability. Unfortunately, this barely makes a dent in the room unless you sit in front of it. The room is smaller than what's it's suppose to cool so I feel it's really made for a small room.

It's a portable A/C and it gets the job done. Running it hard does lead to a lot of condensation build up around the top vent though. Can't be helped during the super humid Virginia summer.

Tried to find a portable unit to cover a large area. Our living room is 12' x 17' and our kitchen area is 12' x 17'. There is also a staircase and a hallway. This unit is FAST to cool and is more than adequate for this large open area! Sometimes it is actually too cold! There is noise accompanying it but with a small rug placed underneath it (we have hardwood floors) it cuts the sound in half! Shipping was exceptionally fast! *****caution*******Our first unit came damaged right out of the box. The window kit was cracked on arrival. The placement inside this box is NOT conducive to not being damaged. Honeywell needs to address this! Had to bring unit back to our Best Buy for a swap out. (Inconvenient considering we had free shipping)! This is a heavy unit! Very happy so far! To be honest, I think if we open up all the adjoining rooms it may take care of the whole downstairs living area! We have the 12,000 BTU unit.

We were looking for a better air conditioner that could cool down our living room faster. This Honeywell AC is not only working great, but also quite. We are very pleased with this purchase!

So ive had this for almost a year. My neighbor told me how kuch they love thier portable unit, it is the only thing they use to cool thier apt (maybe 600 sq feet.) With the rave reviews i decied to spend the money and get myself one. I love that on cooler days i can open the window and get a breeze. Last year, when i also used my window unit, this worked great..... but this year I wanted to try just the portable unit, since it was 5 timea asuch as my window unit. Well i just came home from a being away for 4 days. Had the unit set to 72, my 550 sq foot apt is 79. To me that is insane!! Wonderong why the heck i spent so much on this thing and my window unit does a much better job.
