This is a great air conditioner at a good price. This is the first portable unit we have owned & I was a little unsure of the performance. It performs so well I will never buy another window unit. It is easy to set up , cools great, it is on rollers and easy to move around, not very loud while running. Overall we are very pleased!!

Not as good as a window model. This type of AC has been around for a while You would think by now this type of AC could do a better job of cooling,

First let me say that Honeywell tends to have good products & their customer service is very easy to work with. They stood behind their air purifier we bought & replaced it without having proof of purchase. Kudos to them! Now for this air conditioner. Had never bought a portable one before plus didn't know anyone who had one. Looked at reviews & this one had good ones. Just bought an older home where the central AC doesn't seem to be keeping up with the southeast Texas heat on the master bedroom side of the house. Didn't want to mess with gaudy protruding window unit to take away from exterior look. Let me say that couldn't be happier with purchase. Comes with window kit that literally snaps together. Easy easy install. Doesn't look bad from outside. Furthermore, it gets that large master bedroom down right cold at night! Mainly when use it. Before would maybe break a sweat at night...now I'm grabbing for comforter. Only thing I'm unsure of is what electric bill will do. Time will tell. But no regrets on this purchase & would recommend to all. And with 5 year warranty...can't go wrong

I had searched for quite awhile reading reviews after reviews hoping to select the right portable air conditioner to use in Southern California weather conditions. Well this was an excellent choice. Not only was it extremely easy to set up took 5 minuets and it's very easy to move from room to room. It cools my living room roughly 15x20 and kitchen roughly 12x12 in about 10 minuets. I also use wheel it my master bedroom which is only 10x12 which cools in minuets! I have had it for 2 weeks and have used it every day and works beautifully! In fact I'm going to purchase another one just so everyone in my family can enjoy the coolness at the same time! The way my home is set up unfortunately the rooms do not connect well enough to use the one unit. But since I have been so happy with how this unit works I am OK with getting another one. When the unit is on the low setting it is about as noisy as a normal small circulating fan on low. When you run it on high while the air conditioner is fully charging rather than when it turns to fan when correct temp has been detected it can be loud for a small room but not bad at all for my living room, white noise that is totally OK. Temp. is a bit off when you select say 69 degrees it may read more like 66 when really not that cool. But I could careless what the number is as long as I am not HOT who cares! Great unit for the money and I would recommend this over and over again! And for the record I never take the time to give feedback but I thought this unit was worth letting others know! COOL and HAPPY!

Wasn't a Great item. I barely tip it over and water leaked all over the unit. the Internal tank didn't hold the water. So leaked all over the motor. Returned item.

Not worth the price. Cooled 300 sq ft room to high 60s after about an hour under normal conditions (80s & moderate humidity). Could not cool adequately in high humidity conditions. Temperature monitor not accurate - typically indicates room is 3 - 5° lower than actual room temperature.

While it blows cold air, it's only really good up to at most 10 foot away from the unit for any cooling effect. This is in a well insulated home attempting to cool a 400sq ft area. I wish it had oscillation to the blower and also an economy mode so that I could turn it on in the morning when it's still cool inside without having the fan motor running on high for 4 hours before it needed to run the a/c compressor, just seems like a waste of energy and wear on the unit. The plastic piece for the window is complete garbage, I ended up making a much more solid and better looking blocking plate out of wood. Having a remote is a nice feature when your feeling lazy. Without comparison to other units I'd say it is a decent one but I wouldn't expect it to do a good job at max Sq footage advertised.

For what I get out of this air conditioner, I could of gotten a cheaper brand.

This product from the Honeywell Company was ok, but....

It is an okay air conditioner. It cools the room; but not as much as I would have liked it.

The unit's blower fan broke less than one year from the purchase. I called Honeywell and after a long back and forth they asked me to have them listen on the phone to the unit! The person on the phone diagnosed it as a broken blower fan. He then ordered a part for me which was sent to me. When I received the part I called and they said I would have to. Hangs the prt myself! Then they said it was a misunderstanding and they would send a replacement unit and I would have to dispose of the old unit! I asked if there were other options and they said no! Then they asked me to send in photos of the cut cord and front, side rear etc. They finally sent me an email saying that the way the exhaust was connected with an extension voided the warranty and refused to honor the warranty. Good bye $500, good bye Honeywell!

Pros - Easy to install and easy to return for full refund. Free shipping to Hawaii!!! Not too many places offer that. Cons - Maybe it's because of the high humidity or the poor insulation of jalousie windows here in Hawaii but my experience with this portable does not match the other customer's good reviews of this product here at Best Buy. It did not cool down our small living room. Opted to return it, put in some work and install a window ac. It's like night and day. Life is cool and comfortable now.

It doesn't cool off my room as much 277sq ft It works after a while but it takes about 6hrs or more.

not what i expected. the unit vents inside cold air out the exhaust which to me isnt really that efficient as it has to pull in warm air from the outside. it states 12000 btu with another number of 6500 btu.. i had a 5000btu window shaker that had better cooling power. i think im going to return this unit. if you need an ac and cant put one in a window than a portable is for you. if you can install a window shaker i suggest you do it.

Was unable to cool a small studio apartment. It took several hours to lower the temperature of 84 degrees to 74 degrees. The unit did not cool below 72 degrees, ( programed for 65 and 61 on different days ) although it stayed on for more than 12 hours. One day was very hot, another was cool and still the unit struggled to keep the less than 200 square feet area cool. Quite frustrating!

My misunderstanding it need a large pipe for air flow. Also not very cold compared to an old ac machine I have in the window at home. Takes up a lot of space with the pipe size. Likely need to return as really not 'cold enough'. Bought another machine (slightly smaller) and that one is really a lot better.
