    I am not sure that this thing is actually an air purifier. From what I could tell it just made ozone. More ozone than I had smelled in my 28 years of life. I set it to the lowest setting in my small bedroom (I live with my mom, cheaper that way) as left for dinner. When I got back the entire floor reeked of ozone. I used to love that smell. Needless to say I returned it the next day.

    Returning after just a few weeks it started rattling and then it added a squeak. Find something else.

    After taking the item out of the box, it was impossible to load the filter and start the unit. Then after finally getting the unit to turn on, none of the buttons would work as well as the Oscillator function.

    This particular unit did not work for me. When used, it had a strong smell of plastic, which was the opposite of what I was looking for. It was not only me, but others could smell the odor as well. At almost the same time, I bought one for my son. He likes his unit very much.

    Noisy after a month. Noisier as months passed. Noise can be described as clunky. Louder in the sleep mode. What a waste.

    Saw Quick Results

    My husband and I have been having a bad dust problem in our house, so we decided to splurge and buy this product. We found a sale at a competitor's store and Best Buy price-matched with no questions or fuss! There was a huge difference noticed overnight. The purifier is very quiet and have a comfortable air flow coming from it. It also smells clean- the odor reducer works very well. My only complaint is that the lights on the top of the machine are a little too bright, but I also prefer my room pitch black at night, so it may be a non-issue. I would very much rather have a clean room and it definitely does that! Very happy and worth the money not having to buy huge filters.

    This product irritates the lungs because it uses electricity to charge the filter, creates ozone!

    Less than 2 years old, and I now have two of these that the control panel is broken. To get warranty service, I must pay to ship them out and enclose a check for $10 more for handling.

    Ran great for 2 weeks and then had a motor problem. Best Buy said to call Honeywell. Took 3 weeks to get a prepaid return label.It's now on it's way to Texas. When will I get a new one , who knows !!!!

    this fan has a really strong plastic smell when you turn it on. feel like it is polluting air rather than purifying air. sorry, returning it!

    Needed help cleaning the air for my allergies

    I really like my new Honeywell Air Purifier. It is quiet like they claimed. I'm using the filter that has to be replaced approximately every three months. The other filter is washable. We have it going 24 hours a day and my sinuses don't seem to run like they did before we got the purifier. My eyes don't seem to run as badly either. Only problem is it only treats one room so we have it in the livingroom. I think it's worth every dollar spent on it.

    This is the first air purifier I purchased. After reviewing all feedback from other consumers on all like products, I choose this one. The main reason is due to the efficiency of removing pet dander, allergens, and mold. Then the fact that the filter is washable. The cost of annual replacements of the filter is about $62. It also helped that the product is on sale, which was drastically reduced below the other brands. I loved the 5 speed featture, the timer, and oscillating feature. This was an awesome buy. I plan to buy another one to put in my bedroom.

    After reading other people's review on other air cleaner. I did some research and this one was the best choice for me. I've been sneezing, running noise and had more allergie problems in the past few months. This item over night made my sleep, sooo much better. Its easy to clean and runs super quiet!! Even at setting 5, the fans still quiet. I wish it was cheaper, i would of gotten 2 of these. but one isn't too bad.

    7 months and still working like new

    I wanted a permanent filter. Or an affordable replaceable. This is it! There are 2 pieces to maintain. One is a thin charcoal type that is rinsed out frequently. It catches big particulates. I rinse it out, using Dawn as needed. Hang to dry, and put it back. I have had to clean the big filter a few times too. When the filter needs cleaned there is a filter bar light that fills up. Rinsing under the kitchen faucet did not do much. Using the side spray cleaned it down to half. Using a 10% vinegar solution pouring over and over did much better. For 10 minutes of cleaning time every so often, it is fantastic. We have a wood fireplace, 2 hamsters and a 150 lb dog. Visitors are surprised at the lack of smell. Pollen allergies this spring were neutralized in the house- but filter needs cleaned more often. I have had the expensive whole house ionizers with UV. This works just as well, but is easier to maintain.
