The first reason being the 5 degree thermostat settings. On many occasions we found that for instance, 70 was too warm, but 65 was too cool. The second reason being price. That’s a lot to spend for such a limited thermostat control.

It is very quiet and has a 180 or 360 degree option. I bought the heater for a 400 square foot room. It does not do well in that big of a space. It’s perfect for a small room or bathroom.

It hardly ever reaches the temperature that I set it for, so it never gets into energy smart mode. Works ok for an office heater to supplement a central unit, but I wouldn't get it for a real need. It looks much better than it works.

The first issue is the fan noise, I was shocked at how loud the heater fan is when it operates, very annoying. Secondly, you can only adjust the temperature in 5-degree increments. Very frustrating when attempting to adjust the heater to a specific temperature. Unfortunately, I threw out the box, otherwise, I would definitely return this portable heater and purchase something different.
