    We bought this fan as a supplement to our central AC. Very pleased with the purchase and despite the size it moves quite a bit amount of air in a very large area. Some reviews mention noise: it's about the same as our AC unit and in Texas heat I'll take the noise when there's a chance to cool down the house another couple degrees.
