Finally the motor went, and after some brand, and consumer reviews decided to go with this Honeywell QuietSet. Lower settings are indeed quiet. As speed is increased so does the "noise." This fan is effective at cooling our bedroom of 16x14 on the highest settings; and competent at providing sufficient air movement around the king bed area during sleep on the lower, quieter settings. Smooth oscillation when needed at approximately 90 degrees. The remote is limited in function, and distance; but a nice feature to have. Well designed overall. Solenoid controls, so non-mechanical wear is a plus hopefully for longevity. The front panel is well lit, and brightness is adjustable. Price matched, and excellent BEST BUY Customer Service to top it off.

Occasionally it'll make a whining noise or clicking noise when oscillating and you kinda need to give it a twist or something to reset its oscillation. Good wind output tho

This was a quick grab that ended up making a day at work bearable! I like the multiple settings and the timer helps for when I forget to turn it off.

Cools the room down quickly and the rotating option comes in handy. Would not recommend for a large room since the air does not travel far, but it’s great for a small bedroom

If you're going to buy a fan, either get a nicer one with wider air flow or a cheaper one with wider air flow.

The only con is it’s not as quiet as I expected it to be. I gave 4 stars because although it’s not as quiet I can’t sleep without it at night!

Although it looks very. nice I would get a different model. If you wanted to simply circulate air in small space then ok. This is a whisper quiet item and power lacking.
