Good fan but not as quiet as expected

Now the bad - this plastic housing of this fan is low quality and causes a creaky, rattling noise. I bought this fan because it was supposed to be very quiet. The noisy rattle is disappointing. Maybe I should have exchanged it but due to the cheap plastic I was afraid a second fan would be even noisier.

One word of caution - the oscillating feature works very well, but the natural vibrations it causes makes the fan stand casing loosen (which in turn creates some odd sounds). It is fixed easily (just tighten the fasteners), but can be unsettling if used over night.
