Quiet and powerful, several settings to choose from to make it versable ,you can here it running which to m s made it okay l,especially if you like white noise for sleeping, but no too loud. Wasn't perfect as it wad missing one of the small screws to attach base, I made due with an extra I already had.

Even at its highest setting it is a fairly quiet buzz - much quieter than standard blade fans. However, it is not as effective as I had hoped for given the price. I need to leave it at its highest setting to have any noticeable impact on the temperature in my room. It will do the job this way, but do not expect it to make your room drastically cooler on its own.
