Very effective dehumidifier

Haven't really tried to figure out how to get it to shut off if the humidity level is below the set number, but the fan does shut off when water tank id full. Really shocked at how much moisture this unit removes from a basement that has no water problem. I have it set at 50 and have to empty the water collection tank daily. (Great source of water for watering our outdoors plants. Major plus: I no longer smell mustiness during the summer. I have turned the unit off during the winter as the humidity in the basement reads 35-38.

There is a 5% threshold when the desired humidity setting has been reached. The compressor will shut off once the relative humidity is 5% lower than your desired setting. The fan will continue to run for up to 3 minutes to cool the motor and will then shut off. No Sweat Set-up

Closed off the crawl space vents and hooked the dehumidifier hose to drain outside. Went from 80% humidity down to 38%. Couldn’t be happier.

This unit will not. The fan ran all the time with compressor on or off. Other than that worked fine
