It's been about a month since purchase. We don't empty the tank and just hooked it up to a condenser pump with no issue. I also don't have the issue some customers have with the humidity not matching other devices in the room. I mean it's relative humidity so.... All in all I would recommend.

Really not worth it - pretty bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the 4,000 sq ft dehumidifier hoping it would work in my 650 sq ft apartment. Maybe Honeywell should remove a zero from their size expectations. The manual recommends that you get the humidity down to 30% for the first 2-3 days to remove damp orders which would be good if their unit could actually get it that low. The lowest I could get to was 45% so I gave up and set the unit back to 50% hoping it could hold the humidity around there without much effort. Again, I was wrong. In a 24 hour period the dehumidifier has been off for only 2 hours in a space 1/6 the advertised "up to" room size. The humidity level (per the unit) has been at 53% for over 4 hours with the fan on high. If I turn it on low, the humidity reading just goes up. The unit goes from semi-quiet to annoyingly loud randomly. If I tilt the machine the loudness goes away temporarily, but then starts up again. That makes me believe there is a loose part somewhere. I have owned units in the past that were much, much better than this one. I will never buy one of from Honeywell again. I am dreading my next electric bill.

WiFi dehumidifier

Works well, Shuts off witness desired humidity level is reached. Upgraded to this model because of the WiFi feature. The WiFi feature didn’t work out for me. It seamed i couldn’t secure it on my home internet. I’m not sure if others have this issue.

Wireless is the best feature

We have a good size basement that becomes very damp and a little smelly when the humidity in the room rises above 50%. I set the unit to 40% humidity and it feels dry and the odor is gone. The internal pump is excellent and ensures continuous function as the bucket is emptied automatically. (When the pump isn’t used, this dehumidifier was filling the bucket every 18-24 hours. Great product!!!

Great Dehumidifier

Only complaint is that it does not shut off exactly after reaching your desired humidity, often running for an additional 5-10 minutes and getting a bit below your set humidity level.

There is a 5% threshold when the desired humidity setting has been reached. The compressor will shut off once the relative humidity is 5% lower than your desired setting. The fan will continue to run for up to 3 minutes to cool the motor and will then shut off. Operation restores once the relative humidity is 5% higher than your desired setting.
