There is a 5% threshold when the desired humidity setting has been reached. The compressor will shut off once the relative humidity is 5% lower than your desired setting. The fan will continue to run for up to 3 minutes to cool the motor and will then shut off. Operation restores once the relative humidity is 5% higher than your desired setting. That was the basic reason I bought this unit. So far it has been working continuously with no difficulties. I like the fact that it reports the humidity level continuously on the front where it's easily seen.

The unit may sound louder when the compressor kicks in, but it gets steady after a little while. The water tank in the unit can hold a maximum of 14 pints of water. Great dehumidifier

This is doing a great job. The basement is always dry. Hope it lasts as long as my last one. This unit has continuous empty so no emptying a pail constantly.

Works Great

I have mine set up to drain to a condensate pump. This one unit I’m using for an entire unfinished basement to try to keep mold away and so far it is working well. I haven’t used the WiFi yet not have I gotten my first electric bill. We will see on that part.

Just works great

Have not used the drain pipe. Instead I empty the tank when it fills up - why waste water when I can use it on the shrubs! The wifi was a bit of a challenge to setup.

It does what it is suppose to - dropping the humidity in our musty basement to around mid-fifty which helped reduce the stale odor substantially. I felt better buying a name brand too.

Good at its job

The wifi app is pretty convenient for knowing when it needs to be emptied or cleaned.
