It constantly turns on and off even though a nearby hygrometer about a foot or two away shows little to no change in humidity. It was also a real pain to connect it to its app via wifi. However, it does seem to run less for some reason if you use the app to set on and off rules based on the humidity.

There is a 5% threshold when the desired humidity setting has been reached. The compressor will shut off once the relative humidity is 5% lower than your desired setting. The fan will continue to run for up to 3 minutes to cool the motor and will then shut off. Operation restores once the relative humidity is 5% higher than your desired setting. It is maintaining less than 50% humidity. No problems. I would recommend this Honeywell 70 pint dehumidifier.

Great Dehumidifier with a pump.

It is very easy to empty as there is a handle to lift out the container collecting the water. It automatically shuts off when full and gives you a red light. Honeywell makes a fine product!
