    Inaccurately measures the humidity

    My unit reads 10-15% higher than a few hygrometers I've purchased to check the humidity so it ends up running non stop. Setup was easy and I like that I can check the status in the app.

    The wifi feature is a total waste - first you go to a download link to get connection info from a special manual - link is dead. After searching and finding it. There's an app to download. App doesn't work unless you register, register never sends a verification code. The rabbit hole goes on and on, you get the idea. I'll see in a few weeks how well the dehumidifier actually works, without wifi. It seems the app does only what the top control does so not much of a loss.

    Removes humidity but noisy.

    I purchased two of these units, one 8/13/21 and one 9/5/21. This recent unit is extremely noisy which is disappointing because I purchased the identical unit one month earlier at Best Buy and that one is fairly quiet. I do not know if this second unit is defective but I would need to return it to Best Buy to find out. Both remove humidity well. Both do release heat from the top vent. If not for the noise I would rate this 4 stars.

    Honeywell 70 pint dehumidifier

    Sadly, the product creates heat as well as dehumidification. At 40 percent humidity setting I read 92 degrees and 10% humidity at the vent exit. The heat starts as it overshoots to 39% and lower. This usually stops after the display reaches 36% humidity. I find that I need to run my whole house 2degrees lower than normal to compensate for the generated heat. The unit runs 24x7 and rarely turns off due to set level being reached.

      We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you because of this dehumidifier. When the dehumidifier is switched ON, a fan pulls moisture-laden air into the dehumidifier where it passes through dehumidifying coils inside the unit. These coils condense moisture from the air
      and collect it in the water tank. The dry air is then exhausted from the dehumidifier as dry, warm air.
      There is a 5% threshold when the desired humidity setting has been reached. The
      compressor will shut off once the relative humidity is 5% lower than your desired setting. The fan will continue to run for up to 3 minutes to cool the motor and will then shut off. Operation restores once the relative humidity is 5% higher than your desired setting. Our customer support team will be able to look into all yor concerns and troubleshoot for you.     not covering even 1700 sq ft properly

    it was advertised as 4000 sq ft but its not doing its job. as soon as i turn on my other dehumidifier upstairs it shows humidity higher than what this device shows so it can not be counted on as a single dehumidifier in the house so its false advertisement

    Is Not Very Effective

    This unit replaced a Frigidaire which lasted barely 3 years and was only used during the summer months. It does not remove the moisture as well as the Frigidaire or the Whirlpool which we had prior to the Frigidaire. The lowest we can get the humidity with the Honeywell is 56%. We use it in our basement. We have not had any unit last longer than 4 years. All our units have been very well maintained by us including keeping the filters clean.

    It performed well for 1.5 years but then displayed an 'E3' error, signaling the need for professional repair. The warranty is only 1 year, which is now overdue. I took this as a lesson and opted for a GE model with a protection plan, instead of dealing with the hassles of sending, waiting, paying, and enduring more waiting, which impacted my mental and basement health. It is excessively loud for my furnished basement, making it unsuitable for continuous use. I recommend it for storage purposes, and purchasing the protection plan is essential in this case.
