    Beware Frigidaire wont honor warranty

    As the title says...I started my one year old unit on a Friday night in the spring after properly storing it for the winter. On Saturday morning there was an error code and no water collected. The call center is closed over the weekend. I called on Monday morning and they refused to replace the 1 year old unit, saying the unit was out of warranty (by 1 day) - yes, I started the unit within 2 days of the warranty expiring. They said even though they were closed, there are no exceptions. I find this very shady and unethical.

    Horrible Experience

    I had high hopes for this unit as I thought Honeywell was a reputable company. My experience however did not show that. Water will not collect in the bottom of the unit but wants to come out the back, which we don't want. Best Buy wouldn't take it back and the company representing Honeywell told me to only solution is to somehow tilt the unit while in use, which is not a valid solution to us. A complete waste of money. Please don't buy

    Humidistat doesn't work

    Returned first unit for same reason. Unit never shuts off! Regardless of the setting it does not shut off. 60 gets to 56.... 55 gets to 52! Currently portable humidistat says room is 49. Unit running at 56 set for 55. Something is wrong Honeywell

      We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you because of this dehumidifier. There is a 5% threshold when the desired humidity setting has been reached. The compressor will shut off once the relative humidity is 5% lower than your desired setting. The fan will continue to run for up to 6 minutes to cool the motor and will then shut off. Operation restores once the relative humidity is 5% higher than your desired setting. This may explain why you felt that the unit was running all the time.     Waste of money

    The humidity reading is way off. It reads 87% humidity in my basement when I turn it on. It never stops running and eventually freezes up. My Frigidaire dehumidifier will say it is 50% humidity and my furnace thermostat also says 50%.

There is a 5% threshold when the desired humidity setting has been reached. The compressor will shut off once the relative humidity is 5% lower than your desired setting. The fan will continue to run for up to 3 minutes to cool the motor and will then shut off. Operation restores once the relative humidity is 5% higher than your desired setting.
