Installation was very simple, and I was up and running within 10 minutes. Setup was guided and easy as well, and adding other admin users is a breeze. Have yet to get my first gas bill after this was installed, but I can already tell this is much more efficient than the old thermostat in both keeping the place warm, and also reducing the temp while we are asleep and/or away from home.

One of the most affordable smart thermostat out there yet very functional. App controlled from my phone, work with Alexa and has geofence. Also got an excellent customer Service via chat with my order.

I purchased two of these, one for my upstairs HVAC unit and one for my downstairs HVAC unit. With no prior experience I installed them myself using the included instructions, and it went fairly smoothly. I like that they include label stickers for the wires in your wall in case they are not color coded. Connecting to my wifi was also simple. I love the look of the thermostats--very sleek and minimal. The footprint of these are smaller than traditional thermostats, so I'll have to add a little touch up paint to the newly exposed wall area. The thermostats themselves are easy to use, but the app could use some improvement. My main gripe is that you can only use the schedule feature or the geofencing feature, not both. It would have been nice to be able to program a schedule, but then still have the geofencing kick in as a backup when you're away outside of the scheduled hours. Overall I think this thermostat is an excellent, cost-effective alternative to the higher end wifi thermostats out there.

I researched quite a bit on smart thermostats (Nest, Ecobee etc.) before deciding to get Honeywell Lyric T5 for the following reasons: 1) My existing thermostat is a Honeywell so I want to minimize any chances of compatibility issues 2) I did not need a lot of super smart features (and paying for them) - I just need something that I can control with my phone when I am in or outside of the house 3) I love the features of putting the fan on circulation mode and also the auto mode where the thermostat will decide to turn on the AC or the heating automatically depending on the temperature. These features meant that I can basically leave the system to run on its own with the house always on the right temperature and with the air circulating. 4) You do need a C wire to be able to use this though they have an option to work around that. If you don't currently have a C wire, I suggest getting an electrician to set that up once and for all as I imagine all smart thermostats will need this going forward (the C wire is to power the thermostat so that it can connect to the WiFi etc.) 5) I prefer the Lyric design as it is modern and sleek with it's brushed grayish/black colors. I cannot get used to the round design of Nest for some reason. Also the touch screen interface is much easier to use than Next (though I mostly use my phone app to connect to it). 6) There has been feedback from others around WiFi setup issues but I didn't experience any of that. I have a mesh WiFi setup with Netgear Orbi with both 2.5G and 5G on a single SSID and there were no issues with the Lyric connecting on the 2.5G automatically (it only works on 2.5G).

The Honeywell T5 is very easy to install and set up. You can use the preprogrammed cycles or set you own. Nice to be able to adjust the temperature from anywhere in your house or when away. I had questions how to have more than one T5 thermostat on the same network and profile. Honeywell customer service was very helpful and answered my questions quickly. It is also very easy to add users to your profile so that other family members have control from their devices as well. I have two Honeywell T5 thermostats installed in my home. I would recommend this thermostat for anyone that would like to add a smart thermostat to their home.

I have this thermostat for about a month so far is working great. It does all it says. The only issue I have with this thermostat is, i changed to another internet router, I changed the thermostat to link to the new router. Changing it was a little hard but it was done, a moment later the thermostat unlink from the app. Now I have to restart the thermostat like if it was all new.

Works great except it gets offline one or twice almost daily...not surr if it is h/w or s/w related..other than that gets the work done :) was easy to install once you figure out which wire goes where...

The T5 thermostat is fairly easy to install, you do need minimum technical knowledge. Setup of the thermostat is simple. The schedule options are not very flexible and it is not a learning thermostat like the nest. Still a good wi-fit enabled thermostat for the price!

I had a "less" smart one, another Honeywell with wifi that was much easier to use. This one has a bit of a learning curve, but it has more features. So far it's worked well and haven't had too many problems with it.

I updated to this thermostat from an older non smart thermostat. Completely love it! Installation was easy. Came with alexia and have Honeywell app downloads on my phone for easy control of my home temperature when I'm away. You won't be sorry.

Works great, very user friendly, Siri works perfectly, and the scheduling is a nice feature. Installation was difficult because the old unit was a Trane and used different colored wires, once I figured that out, it worked perfectly.

When I first purchased this, it took me over an hour to install this thermostat... granted, I kept bouncing back and forth between this project and YouTube on how to install it. Once I got it though, it was super easy to install my second thermostat. The set up was a little tricky. When I first had it going, for some odd reason, it was making my AC blow hot air. I ended up calling Honeywell to help me figure it out. And it was a simple setting issue. It wasn’t that huge of a deal cuz I only spent maybe a total of 15 minutes on the phone from start to finish troubleshooting my system. And like I said, once I got the first one to get going, my second thermostat was super easy to install and set up.

I like the way this thermostat looks, and the touch screen works well. The software is usable, but not great. My biggest complaint is....I can have the cooling set to 78 degrees, and it start cooling just fine. Once it gets to 78 it shuts off. However, about a minute or so later the thermostat will show it is 74. Not sure if I am going to keep. I am torn on recommending this or not. Since Best Buy has a good return policy it might be worth it for some.

Installed in a matter of minutes, easy instructions. I feel it has the same features at the nest just half the cost. Plus the round thermostat is a thing of the past. Works great no issues.

Only con is the lack of humidity sensor. Works fantastic with HomeKit. Very simple design and looks clean on the wall. It turns the AC/heat on/off to boot! Requires 5 wire thermostat wire

Bought this for our Iowa home. We are here just a few months in the summer and need a way to monitor the heating and cooling remotely. Installed the Stat with ease if you precisely follow the instructions. Had to use the remote four wire yellow ground adapter at the furnace. As I said if you follow the detailed instructions it was fairly easy to install. Setup using an apple phone was interesting. Phone was attached using the 5g protocol. It would not detect the thermostat. Selected the non 5g system and it recognized it. Setup was simple from there on. All in all it appears to work well and have not had any problems in the last month of use.

Love the sleek look. DIY friendly. Hardware and instructions were easy to understand. Plenty of youtube tutorials to help if needed.

My thermostat turns off when I leave and turns on when get home! I love it! You can set it to home/away/sleep. Whenever you’re home, you can set it to whatever temperature you want while you’re home. When away, you can set it to a temperature that won’t kill your gas bill! My thermostat turns on before I hit my driveway. When I walk in, it’s already at the temperature I like! With sleep, you set the temperature you want before heading to bed. It’ll do it for you automatically! I love it!

Super easy to install and works great! Love being able to control/change the temp in my home even when I'm not there - and the schedule feature is amazing.
